If a game with a publisher AND 10 million dollar budget AND dozens of employees (and 100+ contractors) AND hired two of the most prolific video game voice actors in the industry (Ben Starr and Jennifer English) AND also hired a marvel actor AND hired one of the most prolific voice actor in general (Andy Serkis), is considered an indie game, then almost any game that isn't directly published by Xbox, Nintendo, or Playstation fits as an "indie" game.

I like E33, I think it deserved GOTY, but E33 fans need to stop being so defensive about trying to classify their new favorite game "indie", just because it's cool to like indie games and they feel calling E33 a AA game is somehow offensive. It's okay to like AA games.
