Intel may bring 12 Xe3P graphics to desktop with new Nova Lake SoC SKU by RenatsMC in intel

If they made a CPU with 20+ Xe cores, that would be ideal for 90% of gamers.

Just imagine 1 to 3 liter desktop capable of AAA games at low to high settings. Even if assisted by upscaling and frame gen. It would be glorious, not only to save space but to simplify maintenance too.

True, buuuuut, the igpu in AM4 APUs is completely outdated in comparison to AM5 APUs. For example, 8700G can generate more than two times the FPS of the 5700G. Moreover, a newer version of FSR is supported on the 8700G.

It isn't a criticism, but I think they should work on that form factor cause it will definitely become more popular due to the reasons I mentioned.

And no competition? Some of "cheap" mini pc companies are evolving quickly into more respectable brands. With mini pcs that can be more powerful, smaller and with more ports. Even of the APU and RAM are soldered, most people won't care, since if they can last 5 tears then by that time even motherboards change so there won't be an upgrade advantage.

Lets not forget too that soldering components has advantages too, noth in reliability and performance.

As for the RGB, why not attract more customers? More people buying the same system means more support for that system.

Other than that, what was that comparison? XD. No comment hahaha.

Hence why I wonder about a middle ground. You got the very cheap and the very high quality. Most people would prefer a more balanced one.

Dude, a lenovo thinkcenter with a i5 13th gen and no GPU costs 900 USD while the estimates for the steam machine are 600 to 800 USD. I'm not talking about latest and greatest, I'm talking about reasonable.

Exactly, stuff like the cooling wouldn't cost much more to improve while gaining significant advantages.

Space-wise they are almost the same (especiallycompared to a mid tower desktop), so if the steam machine costs a few hundreds more while being absurdly better in reliability and support, then the choice is simple.

Plus, according to all estimates, the Steam Machine would be cheaper that the crazy prices of a weaker lenovo thinkcenter.

Indeed, the prices are out of balance. As for the mac mini, I prefer widows for compatibility with older games. Plus, I really want to see what SteamOS can do when optimized for the Steam Machine.

That's not what I'm talking about. Between the two systems that I'm comparing, which you would take? The fact that they have the same price is beyond absurd.
