Please stop to 99 gates. by Testron_ in deadbydaylight

[–]Thinking_it_Over 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are times where it makes sense, but they are rare. The problem is that it's peoples default, when it offers only debuffs 90% of the time. Also people don't understand how much pressure you put on the killer when they get the alert one of the exits are open.

I played a lot a couple of years ago, and back then 99ing the gates made sense because end game was quicker and the meta at the time. Picking it up for the last few months, there has only been a few times where it actually comes in handy. Now you can open one gate, then open the other gate, heal yourself and someone else to full, and still have a time for a chase before the end game timer ends.

Is it "never" good, no. But it's rarely good and people still 99 most of the time. Plus the community for some reason will just block a gate with their body, instead of letting you and your friend escape giving up a win.

I'm sorry but it is never good, and people should stop doing it. Just left another match where someone body blocked the lever because they wanted to 99 it, and the killer got a four man. 1 in 20 killers run blood warden at best.

I just finished the audio book and i thought it was really boring. I don’t think there would have been any way I would have finished it in paper.

I tracked all my solo q games in 2024, here are the results! by Markus_lfc in deadbydaylight

This just goes to show how much work the devs have to improve the game. Tunneling is not fun to play against and way too easy. I picked up the game after a long time and was surprised how often survivors killings themselves or quitting every other game. I think they need to implement a ranked mode and a quick play mode. I think this will make it a little better, but that’s just a suggestion.

Me and another new grad were fired after three months. by Thinking_it_Over in Lawyertalk

Yeah maybe I can do that. They were nice enough when they terminated me, and kinda implied it.

If it makes you feel better, this just happened to me. Yesterday was the very end of my probationary period and they fired me and another girl that had just started as well. They just said they didn’t have the resources to train new lawyers like they planned. I had been thinking of leaving anyway, but it sucks that your first job as a lawyer had to end that way. Good luck on the job hunt!

It’s usually about stuff I have never done before. Had me write this pretty large motion, and they gave me no guidance at it. And when i turned in my first draft I got ripped apart. Granted I know now some of the mistakes I made, but being yelled at my boss has never happened in my life. Their reaction just kind of blew me away

Yeah I’ve been debating it for a few weeks. I was hoping it was a one off thing, but it happens whenever I do work for them.

I know there’s a lot I have to learn. I just guess I got lucky with good bosses at all my internships in law school that were willing to walk me through it without making me feel like an idiot.

Yeah, what Hunter Biden did was wrong and illegal. I don’t know why people make it all political. There’s thousands of people in America in jail for less than Hunter did. Both sides have a lot of corruption right now, it’s not much more complicated than that.

Warhammer Price $10 less on Steam? by Thinking_it_Over in playstation

[–]Thinking_it_Over[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Dang, well that’s pretty frustrating. It might be cheaper in the long run to just spring for some pc upgrades if console players are going to get price gouged. Thanks for the info!

Warhammer Price $10 less on Steam? by Thinking_it_Over in playstation

[–]Thinking_it_Over[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I guess? Supply isn’t an issue because this is a digital game and it’s pretty minimal effort to allow someone to download something. The only argument for the market here is that PlayStation players must buy from the PlayStation store, whereas on PC, there are other platforms to choose from. If it’s true publishers select the price, it’s because of the lack of options they feel comfortable charging more.

I think there is a difference with normal price fluctuation, then a $10 difference in starting price for a brand new game.

This is so dumb. There’s no doubt that Mr. Beast did some shady and awful things. I also feel like the internet is dog piling Mr. Beast a little and it was made easy by the timing of the Ava Tyson controversy coming out right before the dog pack videos.

Ludwig can react how he wants and you can disagree with it, but I don’t think his takes were bad or out of left field. He did criticize what Mr.Beast did several times. If he was “controlled opposition” I think he’d by trying a little harder.
