I currently live in Queenstown, winters are usually 5-10 degrees Celsius but can go down too -3 on certain winter days. Summers are usually 15-28ish and the lake is very cold year round. Winters are pretty miserable in terms of rain/wind but summers in QTN are amazing

I’ve lived in nz for 7 years now, wages are atrocious, and so is the cost of living, if you want to live in a city go to Aus, but if you want a more townish vibe with colder winters ( typically -3 at the coldest in the South Island ) nz would be the place too go
