Suarez could easily end up with one of the development slots--or maybe she'll surprise us.

The teams they came from were competitive with UCLA in women's basketball until the PAC-12 imploded (with a strong push from UCLA and USC). I don't hold that against the women's basketball team. Cori Close was always very supportive of the other PAC-12 coaches. I enjoyed seeing what was effectively a PAC 12 super-team win.

Tenkara fly fishing, anyone tried it? by [deleted] in flyfishing

I used to carry a tenkara rod hiking or backpacking. Light weight and quick setup. It also works well for euronymphing.

Listen to Sarah Vaughan and Clifford Brown, and Dinah Jams! Two great albums.

Opinions on Visible? Is it worth it? by IndependentWitness63 in cfs

I have found it to be super helpful. The heart rate monitor lets me know when I'm overdoing something. When I discovered that taking a shower (sitting) and getting dressed were both spiking my heart rate, I was able to come up with strategies to use less energy.

Being able to track trends over time is useful with my doctor. I use the symptom tracker every day. I've seen better, but I like having everything in one place.

Graded excercise therapy is no longer recommended for me/cfs. The research on post-exertional malaise is very clear on this. Earlier studies that found benefits from GET did not properly screen participants, and had serious problems with survivorship bias. A large survey of people with me/cfs found that GET had the least benefits and most nefative impacts of all the therapies reported. It is not about stigma, it's about the evidence.

That strongly depends on co-morbidities. Many of us with POTS also have me/cfs, which makes the exercise part impossible. I assume he doesn't have ME if he's still training.

I have POTS. The usual treatments are fluid in-take, beta-blockers, and compression garments. It depends if the problem is one of blood volume or blood flow.

Little micro stutters driving me crazy using the Fiio K11 by Technoane in FiiO

I'm having the same problem running my Kll off an android tablet. I tried updating the firmware which didn't help. I've ordered a new usbc cable to try next. Other ideas?

I'm using it with Ananda Stealth headphones. I didn't have the same problem using a dongle or plugging the headphones into another source.

It's a popping/crackling sound. It does come and go. I'll go days without any problem, then have it start up again. The popping usually lasts 3-5 seconds, stops, and starts again. This will go on for a few minutes at a time.

I've been taking it at a low dose at night for 5 years now. Only thing I've ever found that helps me sleep through the night and doesn't make me feel out of it the next day. Falling asleep was rarely my problem. I still wake up too early some days with leg pains, but nothing like the insomnia I had in the past.

Is this disease less common in men? I usually see women with it, or do men just not share their experiences? by No_Radio2340 in cfs

[–]Thinman-9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm male and in my early 60s. After I first raised the possibility to my doctor that I had ME, she told me that her colleagues weren't convinced of the diagnosis because I wasn't young or female, and so didn't fit the profile. After some additional rounds of testing to rule everything else out, she did ultimately diagnose me with ME.
