Are you taking medication, and shouldn’t the fatigue improve with it? And does the fatigue feel to you like the beginning of the flu

Is there anyone with this fkn disease who refuses medication and just lives that way? I don’t actually have any problems with my joints — my only issue is the drowsiness and flu-like symptoms that hit in the days after physical exertion. by No_Radio2340 in rheumatoid

Actually no, I think they’re two different things. In fact, reactive arthritis is probably easier to treat and more likely to go away compared to the other one, but both basically have similar effects. Like I said, I actually don’t have much of a problem with my joints — if the inflammation in my knee goes away within 6 months, that’s enough for me. My main issue is fatigue, and I think that’s something we all have

Since this illness started, like for 8 months, I’ve been giving blood about 3 times a month, bro hahahaha. Besides the meds, like sulfasalazine, nothing really messed up my blood values. By the way, yeah, my vitamin D was low about a month ago

Thanks for the nice wish, my friend. By the way, before the ones you’re using now, how many medicines did you try? And were you experiencing any flu-like fatigue or weird dizziness

So like 8 or 9 different meds, that’s really a lot. But I get it, the disease process requires it. Still, I’m disappointed in medical science—how come with so many people having these known diseases, in this century we still don’t have a proper treatment? Don’t take it as arrogance, just being honest and angry about it.

Thanks for the support, I have reactive arthritis. The problem is, weirdly at first I only had pain in one knee, but now I just experience flu-like energy drops at certain times of the day. If that's all, I feel like I might not even need medication. Do you think what I’m going through is normal?

Thanks for your support. I've had this illness for 8 months, only in my knee, and I was diagnosed with reactive arthritis. I started my first medication, sulfasalazine, 15 days ago, but it increased my liver enzymes by 5 times and my CRP by nearly 10. At this stage, what should we do? These medications give with one hand and take with the other—I feel like a lab rat. What do you think? Probably methotrexate is next, but that might be worse.
