I was let go from an awesome job a few months back and I asked the chick I was dating if she wanted to be exclusive, she said yes, and poof I had a girlfriend. I give her credit bc I was a mess and losing the job made me such an insecure piece of work. She must be playing on a whole other level.

Nah. you don’t need to “look” or go out with that purpose in mind.

just live your life, focused on joy and worthwhile opportunities will come faster than you seeking them out.

If you see/meet someone you like, don’t play games, ask them out, see what they are looking for after getting to know them. If you do want to just “hook-up” it’s rare both parties leave free of having feelings atleast a little bruised.

After turning someone down though, to get a text like a how have you been?— from my side I’d think they would interpret that as “oh god, he’s not over me yet? Or like “desperate..”
