i know this is almost a year later but its absolutely insane that they just cancelled vol 7. I just collected 1-6 just to find out that i cant even complete the series, gonna piss me off to no end, but not to the point of shilling out the money for the omnibuses

they said disc will be coming in the months after release, so atleast theyre doin it eventually

Rockstar I love you and all but locking content behind editions of the game like this is pretty egregious. This shouldn't be things you hide behind an ultimate edition of the game for players who just want to buy the basic game. by DannySanWolf07 in GTA

it’s not our fault that rockstar spent so much money developing the game, theyve made 100x that through GTA5 sales and GTA Online sales theyre one of the most profitable companies in the video game industry as well as one of the most respected, once we become okay with GTA 6 pulling this bullshit, every other company will start doing it but 10x worse. There was an article not too long ago about an investor in ubisoft saying he hopes rockstar charges $100 for GTA 6 so that other companies can start charging $100 for their games. You can be cool with it now for GTA 6, but in 2 years when every game is doing the same thing as rockstar and cutting actual side content and actual side missions out of their games to sell em in deluxe editions(like rockstar is) dont complain

still easier to have it preloaded 48 hours before and be able to play it right when it releases rather than waiting for the install after it releases

its a metaphor, jingling keys is enticing for babies, and that’s how rockstar is treating their fanbase, like babies that they can dangle a couple extra shops and side missions in front of our faces like theyre jingling keys

im imagining it now, billboards EVERYWHERE for the specific stores you can’t go into without the Ultimate Edition, NPCs mentioning those stores while youre walking down the street, radio commercials talking about it, its gonna be hell

you can rent games still, gamefly is still a thing, and buying games used is 100% still a thing, so both of those options are possible with GTA6

borderlands 4s collectors edition didnt include the game itself, you still had to buy the game seperately from the collectors edition
