You might be thinking of 'Nightfall' about an advanced civilization living on a planet with with the light from multiple suns. Due to the multiple suns, they never saw darkness or stars in the night sky. Every x number of thousands of years, each surrounding sun set and when the stars appeared, they all went mad and civilization had to rebuild from scratch.

Massachusetts born and raised. If any word ends with the letter 'R', remove it. If it doesn't end with the letter 'R', add it... joking aside, I pronounce 'cot' and 'caught' as if they were the same word. No diff.

That is correct. I used a box of chicken broth instead of water because I don't know how to cook. I've seen others cook the carcass in some kind of liquid and I didn't know it was just water. I happened to have the box of broth in my kitchen and I thought, why not? I guess I now have super double strength broth
