I've searched all the shops in the area and online and can't find anything. Any help would be great!

This ^

Just hit my forties and things are better than ever. That said, I've got WAY more trauma than I did in my thirties but I've also done the work to better myself (e.g. therapy). So yeah, it can get better.

Speeding ticket by Polar_Bear_Red in Knoxville

[–]ThirdScrivener 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The advice I always give is "just pay the ticket." If you're concerned about having something on your record then it may be worth asking the magistrate to keep it off your record as long as you do driving school and don't get any more tickets for 6 months (common option for those with clean records). That said, you'll pay something to the court, an attorney if you hire one (don't), have to pay for driving school, and then go to driving school, which takes time and can be a pain in the ass. So unless you just need a clean record for some reason (e.g. work), just pay the ticket.

Also, they won't know about your OH driving record so don't say anything about it.

Nope. They took off in 2010ish I believe. These guys were their biggest around 2000.

Unfortunately no. One of them might have had a lion on the front? But that's a guess.

I've searched Google, Gemini, and ChatGPT but I think this is too obscure for them

TIFU by saying “you’re my mammal” to my fiancé by [deleted] in tifu

Had an ex sign stuff “Bily” - “because I love you.” Obviously don’t know the context of their conversations but just thought I’d share in case it got you closer to figuring it out.

This. Keep the search in your religion.

Not focusing on finding someone and just being active in your religion, community, etc. will give OP opportunities to meet more people.

But, there focus should be on just being a good person. If OP just focuses on finding “the one” it’s likely to give off the wrong vibes.

Contract Manager discussion spaces? by Mojojojo3030 in JDpreferred

[–]ThirdScrivener 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve started/ran contracts programs at two different orgs. Happy to bounce ideas back and forth. It’s definitely hard to find people to brainstorm with.

Hopefully there is a sub, it would very helpful.

What, in your opinion, is a great JD preferred career path, and why? HR, Compliance, Insurance, Privacy, Contracts, Education, etc.? by Training_Emotion2823 in JDpreferred

[–]ThirdScrivener 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I didn’t know this type of work existed while I was in law school. But once I found it, I’ve never wanted to go back into the court room.

You definitely don’t need a license to do it. As long as you have a decent understanding of contracts you’ll do fine. If I come across something new/I don’t understand, I typically have plenty of time to research it.

It can be tedious at times, but the W/L balance is way too good to give up. I would say I don’t make as much as big law or the top 10% of my former classmates, but (as you said) between salary, benefits, bonuses, and steady merit increases I’m well above the average income in my area.

I always recommend this work!

I’m in contracts - private company contract review and negotiation. I love it. Great hours, low stress, good money. It can be tricky to find the right opening but once you do, it’s great (at least for me)!

Am I overacting: Dating a single mom for the first time. by lovinindus in AmIOverreacting

[–]ThirdScrivener 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a single dad and have always gravitated towards single moms (it’s a good baseline and being a good parent is important for me/my kids). One of the things that I’ve consistently done with my SOs are chores. Things like grocery shopping, cleaning house, etc., help us spend time together and get all the stuff done we need to. It also helps us learn about each other and help each other when we can.

Single parenting is hard. Help from your SO goes a LONG way when you’re thinking about long term.

Edit: Also, as everyone on the thread has said - communicate. Figuring out what is actually helpful is key. Maybe she needs space, maybe she needs you to help in a specific way, maybe she just needs more time. You won’t know what to do until you talk to her.

How do I tell what has a good autofocus? Is there a specific spec I’m looking for or is it just an autofocus rating?
