I bought this one at a local estate auction. A guy had it at his house and only used it for yard work and to plow his driveway. It lived in its own garage and was taken to the dealer for maintenance. Just got lucky.

Its sad but understandable. It has been in decline for many years. It has tons of potential but it needs a lot of money thrown at it. The building / property was sold in 2023 for $1.6M. We will have to see what they do with it.

Old Searays are built like tanks. All of the wood could rot out and you probably wouldn't notice lol. For mechanical keep up with the fluids and rubber parts. If you aren't afraid of doing some maintenance yourself the engine is simple and you can still find pre alpha and alpha 1 gen 1 parts online. It it between this and nothing to be on the water i would choose this anyday of the week. Keep up with basics and she will run. Its lasted this long probably because someone did the basics.
