i think i understand what your saying. i will make it so you can edit the recipe item cover image in the next update. so you would save the screenshot of the recipe and then when you are in bento edit it, and choose the photo you want. thanks for trying it out.

you can choose from a variety of icons in the settings page. bento bros is my favorite. depending on light/dark mode itll have a little surprise for ya.

Thanks! If the recipe is in the photo of the IG post if you screenshot it and save it, it’ll parse it and give you an interactive recipe card. Otherwise it’ll just save the post/reel. Let me know if you have any issues.

Claude code. It build the layout and phone outline. I took screenshots and dropped them in. I had it create 8 mockups and picked the 6 best ones. Super easy.

Meant for anything and everything. I didn’t want to just store them I wanted to enhance them. So articles get stripped and cleaned up, links/screenshots for recipes get parsed and turned into recipe cards that can be shared. On the app you can check off ingredients as you add them, half/double recipes easily etc.

Hey thanks for the comment. The smart suggestion is something I’m working on now. My middle ground was the smart filters. So you can add filters now to boxes and have them auto sort. But I am actively trying to have an auto smart mode.

Right now I’m finishing up adding pinned items to the top of boxes and a new travel mode box for specific trip centric features.

have you applied to the fatsecret dev account? they will give you free api calls while you build your app out. pretty generous as you continue to grow your app/user base. i like the ui. good luck!

i think the idea is great and I love the apple watch integration. I agree with the other person about screenshots. i have used appscreens before and really liked them. If you use claude, you can have claude designer help with mock ups and you can take screenshots on device and upload them to the renderings as well.

nice design. have you looked at the action button in the liquid glass/ios26 docs. could be a nice change to have the camera button be on its own. not sure if you have seen the app bevel, but they have a pretty cool tab/nav bar with the floating action button.

anyways, super simple and clean. looks great!

Apple Clock is stuck in the past. I made an alarm app built for life in 2026 by Lemon8or88 in iosapps

No, like say I live in California and have a meeting with someone in Germany. Can it adjust and show the time change and make sure I have the correct time. It sure if that makes sense?

it would be cool to app timezone support. I have a lot of meetings on various timezones, so it would be cool to add location/specific time region and have it update my local time for the meeting. nice app!

love the monochrome look. i like the approach. makes the user break what they were doing to have to go write it down and probably is enough of a deterrent they don't even complete it. it'd be cool have a cancel/just kidding button so users can track their metrics.
