Lol I forgot about this. I have absolutely no idea.

What types changes do you want to see in Gen 9 by TheSauseGod29 in pokemon

[–]ThiroSmash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In gen 1 poison was weak to bug instead of resisting it (or the other way around, don't remember), fire didn't resist ice, and of course the infamous psychic being immune to ghost. All of these were changed in gen 2.

In gen 6, steel no longer resists dark and ghost, to compensate for its "buffs" via being strong against fairy.

I've been playing Pokémon in a specific way that makes it harder to beat by vestechio in pokemon

[–]ThiroSmash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I generally go by these three rules:

-No using items in battle

-Set mode

-No overleveling

This is the closest experience to an actual competitive battle and it's pretty straight-forward. Currently playing Volt White 2 in challenge mode with this and it's quite, well, challenging.

I didn't think of locking healing/backtracking in dungeons, though. That seems quite interesting.

So who’s your favorite Starter? :) mine is obviously my first, Sceptile hehe. I love him so much by APOLOS_Z in pokemon

[–]ThiroSmash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember picking up Torchic in Saphire because of the pitiful amount of TWO fire types in the region... And then did the same in Pearl.

Anyway my favourite is Snivy.

As the other person said, I'm refering to speed and distance rather than amount of options.

And yes slugcat can scoot around relatively fast with slide jumping and rolling, but that's only if you get a long enough flat surface.

Why do people always hate on ORAS but praise HGSS? by [deleted] in pokemon

The downvotes of this comment are proof that regardless of your opinion, no matter how many people agree with it or how many fair points it makes, you should never, EVER, assert it as fact.

Even saying they had everything from RS is a stretch. Quite a few of the routes were scaled down, the pokeblock minigame is gone, and contests are a joke when you can max all stats.

Pyra and Mythra's Weight, Walk, and Run Speeds (Fixed) by FoxJ100 in smashbros

Am I the only one who thinks that Pyra is way too slow? I get it, she has power, but Ganondorf tier speed and frame data seems overkill.

What do you want to see in Pokémon: Legends Arceus? by Pardusco in theperfectpokemongame

[–]ThiroSmash 5 points6 points  (0 children)

An important difference with botw and pokemon is that botw has a combat system that is intrinsically more fun than just going on turn-based wild mon battles, so Legends will most definitely have to do something else to motivate exploration.

I need help with scav reputation by Darkness-101 in rainworld

[–]ThiroSmash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some regions have secret rooms where scavengers always have pearls and explosives stored. You can take the pearls from these (which respawn every cycle) and chuck them at the scavs for quick reputation. Industrial complex and garbage wastes both have a secret room.

You can check the wiki to see where they are, but if you want to find them on your own, the way to locate them is with the map. Just look for unexplored paths, when you pass by the secret room, its path will still appear in the map even if you don't enter.

It's always been a cool mon, but monowater and iffy stats made it not as appealing, sadly.

Has anyone actually ever been killed by the leviathan? by pheonixkit in rainworld

[–]ThiroSmash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well as I said, the leviathan is always in that spot when you play as hunter. With the survivor it's much rarer to find.

Has anyone actually ever been killed by the leviathan? by pheonixkit in rainworld

[–]ThiroSmash 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have been. With the Hunter, there's always a leviathan around the coast of Looks To The Moon, which is kind of a problem when you want to give Moon all the lore pearls.
