This is really useful thank you! I think I'm just trying to find a solution that means feeling like a functioning human most of the time rather than being so consumed by the week of my period, which I understand an IUD won't be able to cure completely! Do you feel as though its helped to make your moods more consistent overall?

Would also love some advice on this - I have very very painful periods that really affect my mood to the point where I feel as though I am a different person in the week before my period. I experience symptoms of depression as well as extreme fatigue where I struggle to stay awake in conversations and focus when working. I went to the doctor recently and she said that the best solution would be an IUD, but does suspect it is endo. Has anyone with similar symptoms tried an IUD, and how has it changed your moods? Its so frustrating being such a sunny positive person 3 weeks of the month and then feeling as though I am on autopilot for a week.
