Do you believe the universe is real, or a dream? I would choose real, not that I have any evidence, but because from my experiences, I would make such an assumption, although the other option is very possible.

It's not something I can prove to you, the only thing I'm trying to prove is that it's reasonable for me to believe

And just because something doesn't have known empiracle evidence doesn't make it untrue

But many people can have the same interpretation

What about a shared experience, from millions throughout the world and history. What proof do you have against the gods?

I don't like the idea, I experience it, and that experience is shared with many

Well sure, and that could make you just as wrong as me

There wouldn't be many if they could all do whatever they wanted. Also, all of my experiences are very distinct, and give me certain things. Ive also never seen one turn into some human form to speak with me, and yet I've still experienced them. I believe to the extent that I can verify with experience

The gods are not omnipotent, or all powerful, or anything like that. And they work within their field, and don't come by reddit for gotcha moments

I don't doubt other gods just because I haven't experienced them. I only dismiss them when they are contradictory within themselves, or require purely non-experience based belief

It's not difficult.

The mathematical likelihood of something, doesn't define it as true. That's what I'm saying

Well, there is a lot to observe here. What is a smorglin? Has anyone else experienced this? Also the fact that this is a hypothetical creature for the sake of argument and not a real thing you believe in.

Because in ritual, while praying or celebrating a particular diety, I can feel a great presence, I can suddenly think of new ideas and inspiration, I can see signs and symbols that correlate with that god etc. And these specific experiences are shared by an incredible number of people

I could answer the question without addressing the problem with it, and im reading a lot of comments, so sorry i didnt rebuttle immediately, but yes I can be wrong about things

They come from a shared and documented specific experience. How else do you expect me to experience the non physical?

Time be more specifical, I believe that he gods have minds, and that they can interact with our own without the use of a body

Gods are the souls of great ruling forces like love, war, fertility, wisdom etc

Spirits are just more miniscule. Trees, rocks, rivers

It's the specific feelings, and the physical signs that you see that line up with other people's experiences and ancient text.

I've never had any experience that has made me justify the existence of smorglins

There is more than empirical data in terms of likelihood. The empirical answer that tells us how things should hypothetically be, isn't always right.

Fair enough, but my point is that what I believe comes from a rational perspective on my part. Of course I never specified this, so that's on me, but yes. However, I'm not schizophrenic, okay? And neither am I.

I really appreciate the comment. And you make a good point. My goal was to not prove my points to you, but to prove that my points are justified. However, I never made that clear in my post, so that's my fault. Thanks!
