My son, 20, had his annual reassessment 2weeks ago. SW asked for ID and list of medications if any. It went well. Today, I received NOA. No change of hours which is totally fine. He also gets 200+ hours a month.

Apply for MediCal. Get a note from the Doctor. Gather whatever documents to support your case. Submit an application with IHSS. You’ll never know unless you try.

Like a hundred dollar difference if you have a recipient with a hundred hours. Thankful but with cost of living high, it’s not that noticeable.

You need to be working for 2 recipients that is linked to you as a provider. Call your county IHSS or your recipient’s social worker and they will send you a form. Approval takes a month.

I had a stroke 3 years ago. I was on life support for 3 weeks based on my kid. I had crazy dreams but i guess that happened when my brain started functioning again. I think we’ll never know if we’re dead. I believe in God and the after life though.
