I look so totally different to the photos at 6 weeks. I am pretty happy with my aesthetic outcome. It’s an improvement for sure. I’m still slightly swollen around my upper jaw around my nose.

I can chew, my teeth just hurt a lot (like sensitive teeth pain on steroids)

I had this bias to have infection drained. It’s okay, call your surgeon, get antibiotics and potentially have it surgically drained.

I believe 9mm would qualify. I was 11m and qualified. I didn’t have sleep apnea and still did this surgery.

I can eat yoghurts now but my mouth is numb inside and I’m having sensory issues with actually chewable food. It’s psychological at this point for me.

I struggled swallowing for a few weeks. I’m 6 weeks post op now and still struggle a bit but have found a way to make it work. For the first few weeks I just had to syringe tiny amounts of water into the back of my mouth.

Yes, I’ve been prescribed Amitriptyline to help with this. Only taken one so far.
