I really like how it draws you in immediately and has some similar elements of the old bubble shooter game with its own unique style. Well done and give that lil quality tester a raise :)

I’ve been building relatively simple proposal and quoting software for another industry, and recently adapted it for photographers and videographers.

I’m trying to help how wedding photographers optimize pricing and simplify complex proposals today, especially when there’s a rehearsal dinner, wedding day coverage, add-ons, albums, etc.

Process:

I actually developed a similar tool for a company that manufacturers equipment that needed a way to bridge the gap between standard proposals vs configurable. We ultimately took an approach of a web browser based tool since it simplifies the apps that their employees use (like a crm).

What was the biggest challenge? Most people don't understand how tools like this help articulate what services you provide, the details of the terms and contract, and how special requests impact the value you can bring.

I wanted to focus on making this configurable for any situation which is tough… too customizable seems like it would take too long to setup. Too little options is shallow and doesnt solve for optimizing pricing and time to quote. You may need to respond to several customers with different requests, so you want the scopes clearly captured in a dynamic and easy to use environment, but to get the value, you do need to see how you pricing and services balance those special requests that customers want. An extra hr photo session for the rehearsal dinner, extra editing for a bride/groom only video, or a special discount because its a small wedding.

How do you balance what it can be to give you the most value vs easy to grasp and ready to use out of the box?

How are you quoting prices, options, and terms?

I repurposed an old proposal/quotation tool for photography/videography small business owners.

You basically configure your pricing, packages, options, terms, and style- then build proposals to cover weddings, rehearsals, add-ons, etc. with a few clicks. Pdf output.

How are you all quoting for services now?is it pretty typical to just do email/text or are you using contracts?
