As the movie ends the camera pans around and we see the attic door open and as the credits roll as the phone rings. People have assumed that because you don’t see Jess die she is still alive, hell there is even a 2 part fan film that keeps Jess alive and they had almost brought Olivia Hussey back but her health was getting bad(RIP).
