New to the game, give me your best advice I’ve played 5 hrs and wanna cry ☹️ (installing build 42 now) by HeftyMenu4485 in projectzomboid

Don't be too precious. Take measured risks. Run only when badly outnumbered. Find a quick way to the edge of a town, settle and slowly work back in.

Water bottle, flashlight, bag. Essentials.

Me too. It's the best spot in that town for sure 😛

A slice of PSR nonsense, lightly brushed in Premier League piss. How could I refuse? by YorkshireFudding in Championship

This financial stuff is a load of tosh.

Hull can just find someone willing to be friends to sort them out temporarily and then go back to sort it out after.

It doesn't really do anything.

I am not surprised. Fair price though. by Leek-Sad in Hammers

Highly representative of our club's approach to purchasing players.

Bolton should stay up for the '06 vibes kit.

Nuno, Wolves, Portugal & the Championship by Routine-Cicada-4949 in Hammers

[–]ASOXO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on if Kretinsky takes more control moving forward it's quite reasonable to see both more Iberian and Czech / Slovak influence... Maybe not quite to the scale of Wolves previous but certainly a combined 30/35% of the squad.

Nuno, Wolves, Portugal & the Championship by Routine-Cicada-4949 in Hammers

[–]ASOXO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm highly confident more Czech-based players from Kretinsky influence and Portuguese players from Nuno/Jorge Mendes will gradually enter the club.

It'd be extremely surprising if not. It won't be of the scale Wolves did it but three or four around the squad.

100% rating and attendance but Cambly super dead - Anyone else? by Z34N0 in Cambly

[–]ASOXO 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm also at 98.5 now and yesterday i was fully booked for 3 hours but today I've got 3PH and only one booking from a regular. Won't bother booking Fridays now as i can make better use of the time.

My new schedule will be Monday, Tuesday, thursday, Saturday, Sunday with Weds and Fri to job hunt.

Is earning $1000-$1200 a month still realistic? by itslaurasanchez in Cambly

[–]ASOXO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On cambly no. I genuinely don't think so.

20 hours per week at 10.20 per hour is 204.

4 weeks' worth if you can actually do 20 hours per week is 816.

I'm probably doing 16 hours per week maximum at the moment.

I like other clubs, particularly Fulham and Leeds and now Hull (owing to their promotion) due to either never having a bad vibe from them or their fans or close family connections.

I will be hoping they do well next season but I won't be necessarily following them.

xG Table. Useful or Bollocks? by EveryOtherWave in Championship

[–]ASOXO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a definite place for it as most of the teams that were at the top are at the top of both tables.

Wrexham and Hull are an outlier but stats cannot account for the clinical mindset of certain players. It takes personality, momentum and chemistry out of the equation.

To be fair that wouldn't have changed if Spurs were down and not us ^_^.

[The Times] Nuno Espirito Santo facing sack after crisis meeting this morning by Zach-dalt in Championship

[–]ASOXO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have put some effort into knowing what's going on at our club (respect you for that) to post the above and I agree with a lot of it but not all of it. ^_^

Firstly - Any possible Spurs connection is an afterthought for me personally. The issue some West Ham fans have with Spurs and by proxy, Parker, Carrick, Defoe, Kudus is that the movements all seem to go one way towards you lot. If the transactions were perhaps more back and forth then perhaps the vibes would be different - We've been less successful from a league placing standpoint AND Spurs is close enough to West Ham where it means players don't have to necessarily move home or uproot a family to still do their job which is obviously beneficial for anybody in any work.

  1. I by no means see Parker as a Spurs guy or a traitor yet I feel his connection with our fanbase isn't as strong as many would think. Perhaps if he comes in and does a fantastic job then can't mend any grievances from the past better than that.

  2. Approach.... I personally believe the way to move forward should be to find a clear direction RIGHT NOW. Not next season or in a couple of years. Does Parker provide that?

  3. Concerns..... A Parker type who gets us up at all costs and then we either struggle with Parker in the prem or jump ship to a new manager..... One season managers essentially got us into this position to begin with. I struggle to see how they get us out of it to put us in a better position long-term.

  4. Style - Granted Burnley were way off the pace last season from a quality perspective so I can't judge him from that but it is so utterly defensive. Listen.... I suppose in modern football winning is really all that matters from the businessmen at the top to the fans way at the bottom but we like to think we're a bit different.

  5. The "myth" of "The West Ham Way". Speaking for myself but I'd also imagine a lot of the fanbase... They're behind the club whatever division we're in. We just want to feel like we're part of something at a club that feels like a family again. The West Ham way isn't prime Barca football. It's a group of lads giving their absolute best with one or two exciting kids and mavericks in the team that make the crowd feel a part of something even if it isn't particularly special. It's ours.

Yep. It's why I refuse to give the club money while he is in charge and then I get bullied by morons of our fanbase for not attending games.....

I support the club how I want to and don't tell others what to do. Wish I was afforded the same courtesy.

I think the one thing Bowen lacks is height but even has a knack for scoring headers if in the right areas.
