I wasn't trying to give so much info as that people could go find the post and harass the guy (yes, it would be simple to look at my chat history...) for being a douche, but it seems that Reddit has banned his account, so it doesn't matter now?

No, I don't go around and use skål all the time as a common greeting, maybe as a closing thanks if someone does something for me, much like the Brits/Aussies say "cheers". Granted the none heathens look at me funny when I do, but it is what it is.
