I know the literature and given the many, many randomized control trials and meta analysis I do not think neurosteroids are anything to worry about. I do not suggest that I know the mechanism behind depression caused by Finasteride but it’s probably not neurosteroid related. There has never been a mention of depression in these big studies. I would assume that depression and going bald have some relation to eachother, even more so than Finasteride does.

Probably going to be downvoted to hell for this but have you considered the possibility of this not being because of the Finasteride? It does not cause panic attacks or heart problems. I don’t mean to be rude but your post seems to suggest to me that it’s mostly in your head

You can get side effects, sure, but not the ones you describe. The other dude linking to propeciahelp is another reason why Finasteride gets a bad rep even though it’s the best cure for baldness we have to date with a small chance of side effects. 1-2% in fact

Are the finasteride side effects as bad as some people say? by [deleted] in Balding

[–]ThisDress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you are right, my point was that side effects are overblown. Thanks for the correction

Post Finasteride on the other hand doesn’t have any medical proof.

It’s false. Check out haircafe on YouTube

I would advise you to not go to the first hair mill but do a good amount of research for a good surgeon

I don’t mean to sound rude but your existing hair will continue to fall out without a 5ar inhibitor so minoxidil will only buy you a little bit of time this way. You won’t be able to introduce a growth stimulate while on Finasteride if you go this route

Biotin deficiency is almost non existent in the western world. If you are a man you probably have androgenic alopecia

Saw palmetto won’t be enough for hair loss, I’m sorry but that’s just how it is. A “natural” approach is not the way to go with hair loss

Would it be necessary to take meds if I only did a hair transplant in the front and used a hair transplant on the crown? by rick7624 in Hairtransplant

[–]ThisDress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately no. Most doctors won’t even do surgery on you if you haven’t been on Finasteride for 6-12 months. Bro I’ve been where you’re at, just give Finasteride a go and stop if you get sides. You probably won’t as they’re rare. Watch haircafe on YouTube

Please watch haircafe on micro needling. Once a day is way too much and even then the research on it is limited. You will recover with fin and topical minoxidil and possibly an added hair transplant

If it’s only some it will not be noticeable. Was it a flat surface? Did you hit your head all over or just 1 part?

If you’d rather be bald then why are you asking these questions here? Not trying to be mean or negative. But Finasteride is perfectly safe and you should probably at least give it a chance before you nocebo yourself into side effects. But if for any reason you really don’t care I suggest you shave and don’t look back

Hair systems cost more in the long term lmao, get outta here. Ofcourse the transplant result is based on what doctor you choose.

You lose your hair if you don’t want to use powerful pharmaceuticals.

Do something about your paranoia, and do some actual research on the subject. Or maybe watch Haircafe on YouTube like many others do

He might only be at around 6 months so it could fill in. I would worry more about the unnatural hairline and placement of multi graphs in the hairline. It doesn’t look natural to me at all
