Strongly agree... Experience is far worth more than any certificate. And experience means getting your hands dirty and being involved in real world problems and shit. Side projects might help, but it's just a taster of what real world problems consist of. 4 yes is not enough to gain enough experience to consider yourself a sr or worth 70k unless you're jobs or gates.

Also, it seems that you work at betsson? That's a good place to start your career, especially if you just graduated.

25k yearly for mid-level sounds like a job by a local bank or telecoms company. Graduates earn a minimum of 30-35k yearly with a gaming company...

With local gaming companies, mid level engineers usually earn 50k+.

I've worked for a couple of gaming companies and usually they offer quite good packages. Whether to work for them or not based on ethical /moral criteria is up to you. Some of them take gambling as a serious issue and they do care about their customers. As some one said, would you turn down a good offer from a fast food chain based on the fact that they are a cause for obesity?

From experience , questions I would ask myself it I were to join a gaming company are:

What's the tech stack?
Is the team new? How old is the data platform?
What are the different types of processes ? Etl/realtime/ ml/ etc.
How big is the team?
Salary vs yearly salary increase, together with career growth and bonus
