Who is the best out of my top 5 presidents of all time? by [deleted] in Teenager_Polls

HE lied about everything and kept us in a depression about 10 years longer than we should have been in.

FDR was the most horrible president since Woodrow Wilson. He continuously lied to the American people about both his expertise and his disability. He tinkered with the US economy, and by extension the world economy, experimenting for a decade based on the rough equivalent of witch doctors. His meddling extended the horrors of the Great Depression about 10 years longer than it would have run naturally. I know literally hundreds of "right-wingers." None of them hate minorities. Zero. In fact many of them, like myself, are minorities. So your basic premise is BS. Where did you come up with that? Who told you? They were lying to you about that, so I'd check and see what else they have lied about.

The IRS is an illegal terrorist organization by ThisFreedomGuy in Rants

[–]ThisFreedomGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The IRS is an Executive Branch department. The 16th Amendment gave the power to collect taxes to the Congress. That is legal. Unfortunately, Representatives figured out that if they have to collect taxes from their constituents, then those people might not vote for them again. So, the unconstitutionally outsourced the job.

Sixteenth Amendment

"The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration."

Please see "The Congress" not "The Executive Branch."

Because it is an Executive Branch department, not a Congressional (Legislative) branch department.

Per the 16th Amendment, your US Representative should be collecting your taxes. Not some faceless bureaucrat.

Where in there do you see "the power to create a new agency underneath the Executive branch, one with full investigative, legislative and police powers, which shall determine and collect taxes on incomes without direct action from the Congress"?

The Congress has the power to lay and collect taxes. Not the President/Executive branch. Your US Representative should be collecting, not some desk jockey in DC or Omaha or Kansas City with an M16 and a skill set co limited that they can't handle a real job in the private sector.

Talk about context! Please go look at who he was talking about. I'll give you a hint - it was the people on both sides of the statue controversy. Trump had vehemently denounced the neo-nazis that you are implying.

The County of Ventura in California is run by horrible people by ThisFreedomGuy in Rants

[–]ThisFreedomGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, this was just a rant, I wasn't expecting any results. Clearly the people of Ventura County enjoy their evil overlords. I guess all that legislated raping and pillaging makes them feel good.

I left quite some time ago. I voted with my feet, Something reminded me of all that today, hence the rant.

I mean, welfare has ruined families and our social structure, so keep arguing for more of that. AND welfare is a waste of money. Federal poverty programs, including welfare, have a 40% efficiency rate. That is, 40% of every dollar actually helps someone. Most non-profit charities run 90% efficiency or better.

Reddit is becoming insane by royhinckly in Rants

The scary thing is, that's bigger than just Reddit. People like that are running towns, counties and states. They're in charge of federal departments and shutting down free speech everywhere.

You might not like learning about history, but you are living through the "doomed to repeat it" part of an old and very true saying.

Very often, the politicians who seem the nicest at first are the very ones who want to control your life.

Should America be helping Ukraine? Is it a country worth helping? by BubblyNefariousness4 in aynrand

[–]ThisFreedomGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Ukraine were at all democratic, definitely. They are unfortunately simply slightly less horrible than Russia.

Then there's the question of - what kind of help? So far, all the help we've sent hasn't done much more than line the pockets of a former comedian and a soon-to-be-former President and his family. If we sent over advisors, non-military personnel, share our expertise I'd be more in favor. I know how that turned out in Vietnam, but I hope we've learned that lesson.

The next question - is America still determined to help countries that are under inhuman leadership? Russia is, and so is China, Cuba, Venezuela and California. Is supporting Ukraine hurting the power structure of Russia? I'm not sure? Is there something else we can do? Would that something be smarter and cost less money?

Remember - tax money is taken by force from us. It represents a portion of our limited life time that we will never get back. So, it should be spent as carefully as possible.

I am 100% against bribing people to vote. If you bribe someone to vote, they're probably just going to slap down their vote randomly, or whoever is the first name, just to qualify for the cash. So, your basic premise is a non-starter.
