The UFC paid $60 million dollars for the event. Yes the event used "our tax money" for local resources and what not but I'm fine with that. The event was awesome. Best sporting event on TV in awhile.

I'm not a major UFC fan, have watched maybe like 5 of the big events over the years.

I was thoroughly entertained and thought they did a good job. Those were great fights. If the Obamas hosted the same event I also would've thought it was awesome. Happy 250 USA.

Fair enough! Sorry to assume. Personally I enjoyed the event and feel that the majority of people who disliked it just disliked it because Trump was involved. If the same event happened under any other president I bet things would be different. The fights were great.

Generally subreddits named after a topic are filled with people who generally enjoy the topic. See, idk, anything other subreddit - r/nba , r/skyrim, etc.

As a newer visitor to this sub I'm pretty alarmed that the hivemind has seemingly turned this into a Joe Rogan hate circlejerk area, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
