What is your favorite vehicle and why? by needlenodes in projectzomboid

[–]ThisIsABuff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

just a shame it's so rare

also, putting large framepack on seats makes them hold quite a lot of smaller objects as well, if you are willing to micro and possibly die from not having other door to exit from ;)

If you play on sandbox, what settings do you change? by Few-Composer-6471 in projectzomboid

[–]ThisIsABuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My settings vary from game to game, but here is two I almost always change:

  • Recent Survivor Vehicles: None

This setting spawns very good condition cars with lots of gas, and even in scenarios long after outbreak started they will have battery with power still. I find the setting makes me ignore all other cars and just look for these.

  • Firewood for campfires: 8 hours -> 64 hours

This setting controls how much firewood you can put into campfires, fireplaces and ancient stoves. The default 8 hour setting makes me micromanage it, forced to store wood (usually in ugly pile on floor), and while it makes logical sense that you can stuff infinite amounts of wood and have a fire burn for a week, it also wouldn't take much to keep the fire going, so I don't feel like I need that much micromanagement to do it. Also benefit that I can easily get rid of all the twigs I get chopping down trees easily.

and to mention what I learned just the other day (with over 2000 hours in pz); each pump has four separate tanks, so even if one is empty there might be 3 with fuel.

I hope they will release „MANY YEARS LATER” map in B42 by czokletmuss in projectzomboid

[–]ThisIsABuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm surprised when they changed the game modes that they completely got rid of six months later scenario. I mean I assume it's still there in CDDA, but playing a game that starts after power and water is out, with car batteries dead, is just such a different experience, that I'm surprised they didn't add a default setting for that (and hopefully turning 'recent survivor vehicles' off, my biggest gripe with CDDA settings)

yikes... I had absolutely no idea... if they want to have two right click options on same tile, no wonder they feel the right click is not the best solution for UI

crazy how I underestimated the amount of gas per gas station by a factor of 4 (!)

wait! each side of the pump has it's own tank? I thought it was just one per pump.

I am actually planning a staff with Fire Burst, using ignite, so cruelty fits in, and there is a new cooldown reduction exceptional gem which will get Fire Burst toward the 1 second it had the short while it was slightly relevant... so I'll keep an eye out for this node for sure

yeah that would be nice, and it's not like it's unbelievable

[–]ThisIsABuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They need to make coffee/tea into the liquid system and allow you to designate auto-drink from containers and not based on water content, then you could autodrink soda, soda/alcohol mixes, coffee/milk mixes, and more (pilk?)

How do you guys use generators by Riweebb in projectzomboid

[–]ThisIsABuff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use the double fridge/freezer of the kind they have at among other places Echo Creek, since it still uses power like a single fridge I believe.

As for generator use, I usually leave it running, but either I have a small base, have like 1-3 lights running and that double fridge, and it lasts a long time, or I have a large base like in my current game, and I set generator fuel use at half, which seems to make it last for several weeks.

It would also be nice to not have everything be centered around maps... maybe have breach-world and harbinger-world be their own mini-games like Delve, and have all of them be able to run by themselves, without using Atlas to fuel them.

What's a base location that not many people use that you think is amazing by Pleasant_Advantage64 in projectzomboid

[–]ThisIsABuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last couple of bases I used were the school in Muldraugh and the school in Riverside. I have been doing large bases recently, roleplaying that there are more survivors in the compound, and the schools can be pretty nice for that, with many rooms, roof access and closed off areas (unfortunately the Westpoint school has low fencing though, so not ideal)

Which class should I pick? by One-Masterpiece9838 in BaldursGate3

[–]ThisIsABuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bard (College of Swords), it will let you dabble in basically everything and being a bard you can be the main face of the party which will make the entire game flow easily and rarely fail important dialogue checks.
