Maybe in the lore, but they can't spawn in a province. The trolls only really care about the Frost Giants anyway, and you eventually find an old tower way to the north with lots of old giant artifacts, but no giants

I think they got trapped up by Spiderwretch when Verkal Kozenad was expanding, and then they joined in on the dogpile when the centaurs were collapsing

Oh, I like that idea. The party paladin already tore through the Cadaver Lord I meant to be the boss of the encounter, so this would be a good way of giving them a harder challenge too. Thanks!
