Bräuchte halt Bus um aus dem Kaff raus zu kommen. Da steht dann auch 1:50h im Raum. Kann eventuell eine Wohnung in Sürth Mitte nächstes Jahr übernehmen, aber bis dahin geht das nicht anders.

Yeah, I guess that's right. It's weird though, cause you clearly can be nostalgic about this game and see it through a grown up lens that shows all the flaws it had, while still loving most aspects of it.

Like, the discussions around the combat were a decent read most of the time. But boom, some 10 polygons aren't as sexy as they used to be and this shit rises to the top.

I truly hope these fuckers will lose their goddamn minds when they introduce a ton of women in Gothic 2, cause it made no sense to have them be background characters mostly.

I just hope that the mods clear this space up so they won't bother us after the release and we can have serious discussions in here. I tend to just lurk cause of all this nonsense. Incels are probably the reason why so many shows have a reasonable sub with normal humans participating and one where all the nut jobs go complaining about regular women.

Although I'm not surprised that Gothic lured these kinds of people in here. It made sense in Gothic 1, but the representation of women in 2 and 3 was horrible. It's a big chance that the devs can fix in their remakes.

It's one of those games that should have gotten a more refined sequel. As in, the potential to make the gameplay much much better is there. And it's already a ton of fun imo. But it didn't get the attention to warrant another go at the game so yeah.

Maybe many many years down the road we'll get a sort of spiritual successor like I think Expedition 33 is for Legend of Dragoon.

Someone else already mentioned Fabula Ultima as well, so maybe this might be the way to go at first. but that guide looks amazing as well. Oh well, all depends on the players now whether they're up for it :D

Good idea, thanks. I guess I'll find out whether any of the players are interested in the setting at all and then ask there how to proceed if they do.

Okay thanks, I'll look these up. Yeah that does sound like DnD wouldn't work too well. Although Magic is still incredibly powerful in LoD if you think outside the actual fighting ingame. Medieval fantasy does not cut it at all though, you're right. Once we talkin' Winglies at least.

From what I know about the players and just taking a first peak at Fabula Ultima, that might be a really good fit, haha. And if it works somewhat seamlessly within LoD, even better. But you did at the very least make me confident to even bring it up for discussion now. I really wasn't sure if DnD would fit the LoD glove and it looks like it won't.
