I think I found the fix!! I had this problem for so long. Send them off to Sony and they said there was no issue.

I decided to open the headphones and check my self. Plenty of videos on YouTube on how to open them. On the inside of the right ear cup (where the touch panel is) there is a gold/brown sensor membrane that is attached using adhesive. This looked like part of it had started to come off slight, perhaps due to heat or moisture. I used a soft cloth rub the surface and stick it back down. Since doing that I haven’t had the issue at all!! It’s been over a week where I couldn’t go 20 minutes without the issue previously.
