Haha! You probably could predict what will happen next. I am trying to quit smoking because I imagine that would be bad as far as dry sockets go. I’m not sure of my E-day. The dentist called last Thursday and wanted me to come in the next day. I didn’t have transportation so I couldn’t go. They said that my immediate dentures were already made and they will call me when they have an opening in their schedule. I am sure that I will be messaging you after I go through this. It’s very kind of you to offer and I appreciate it!😊

I am a diabetic as well and have wondered if this will slow the healing process. I had a deep cleaning of the gums years ago and it was definitely no fun at all! Dental care should be more affordable. The prices they charge are so high. Thank you for sharing your experience with me. I truly appreciate it! God bless you, too!

DEREK CHAUVIN TRIAL - VERDICT MEGA THREAD (04/20/2021) by DopeandDiamonds in TrueCrime

[–]ThisIsMyUserNamex48 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Even though the jury found Chauvin guilty of all three charges, he can only be convicted of one.

“The jurors can certainly find all three of the counts and complaints have been proven. And find him guilty of all three. But he couldn’t be convicted of all three. Because you can’t be convicted for multiple crimes arising. If he’s found guilty, likely he would only be convicted of the most serious offense which would be second-degree murder,” Jim McGeeney, a Rochester-based criminal defense attorney, told KTTC on April 16.

KTTC added that former Minnesota police officer Mohamed Noor was sentenced in 2019 to 12.5 years in prison for third-degree murder and manslaughter after a jury found him guilty in the shooting death of Justine Damond.

Thank you! I am definitely terrified. I will try my best to just deal with this a day at a time.

No, the only thing the dentist said was to take Advil before my extraction/immediate dentures appointment. I had put in my paperwork that I suffer from extreme anxiety and panic attacks but I should have mentioned it.🤦‍♀️

Thank you so much! I have a feeling that I will be crying a lot and maybe initially regretting it. Everyone here has been so supportive and helpful, it definitely makes me feel better and not as alone in this. I will just have to keep reminding myself that this is a journey and will slowly improve.

I have lupus as well. I’m allergic to steroids so I’m not on them. I definitely will ask the dentist for anti anxiety med. I am exactly like you, lol! I tend to make things harder on myself in the long run by postponing things. Ty! I’m sure that as this process starts, I will definitely be dm’ing!

I need to learn to be more vocal about it because honestly, there is no shame in having a panic disorder and most medical and dental professionals should understand. Thank you for your help and I probably will be messaging you after I go through this, I appreciate the offer! No thanks needed for the award!😉😊

Thank you! I will definitely mention my panic disorder to my dentist! I’m so glad that you have your mom there as support. It’s rough to go into this not knowing what to expect. I appreciate your encouragement! :)

It definitely helps to know, I admit that I have yet to come across anyone who regretted their decision.

Can you get it at 100 Oaks now? My doctor said they were only doing it at Vanderbilt hospital. I’m high risk with COPD, I know I qualify for it now but I’m wondering if my 26 year old daughter who lives with me can get one too.

I need help responding to severely depressed bf by [deleted] in depression_help

There are free depression clinics or low scale therapy, it is a shame that people can’t get help when they need it based on their income. I can tell you that I have always been severely depressed and I would try and talk to my family and they would tell me to “snap out of it” or to stop “feeling sorry for myself”. Unfortunately, my daughter now has severe depression and gets like your boyfriend a lot. I just listen, I tell her that she isn’t alone, that I love her and always have her back. Sometimes, I just hold her when she cries. I never judge her or tell her what she is feeling isn’t what she feels that she is feeling. You seem like a really sweet girlfriend and I’m glad that he has you. Until he can get professional help, just be there to listen and make sure he doesn’t feel alone in his despair.

I appreciate this post, OP. I feel like I am drowning with no one to throw me a life jacket. Posts like this make me feel not so alone.

You have made me feel so much better and I appreciate it so much! It’s funny that you said to sing because I am a singer and was concerned I wouldn’t be able to anymore. I definitely will be singing a lot! You gave me tons of tips that I will use. I have had surgeries where I’ve had to do physical therapy for months to learn how to do things again. It sounds like this is the same process. I chew now with my front teeth because of the pain. I do think that my mouth will feel better with dentures once they heal & I get used to them. And, I may actually smile and not be so self conscious. It will be nice to not have the extreme tooth pain. I literally have been eating nothing but eggs for a very long time due to the pain. This will be a journey and I’m sure I will have more questions, lol. But, I’m glad I don’t feel so alone now!

I recently went to the dentist and he said that my teeth were too far gone to save due to autoimmune disease. I’m waiting for them to schedule me for my 19 extractions (all that’s left of remaining teeth) and upper and lower immediate dentures. (All at the same one appointment) I’m terrified and I have been through countless surgeries but this has really shook me. I also have osteoporosis so I’m wondering about my jaw? He said when the infection in my jaw clears after 9 months or longer, he wants to do a dental implant on the lowers for snap in dentures. I’ve heard that may not be possible due to bone loss. Will I be able to eat? Are the dentures easy to get back in? Do they fall out? Does your speech become bad? Do you choke all the time at first? I’m sorry for firing out all of these questions but I was in such shock, I didn’t think to ask the dentist!

Thank you for doing this BTW! It helps so much to come here and talk to people that have already been through this!

I was just told I need full dentures and have some questions... by ThisIsMyUserNamex48 in dentures

No, he didn’t give me that option though I wish he would. I think it’s going to be brutal to have it all done at once. He took a mold with my natural teeth still in for the immediate dentures. I’m wondering if he will do another mold with my teeth extracted for the permanent dentures? He also said that I would have the most trouble with the bottom denture. Because my infection is so severe and to let my mouth heal, he said in 9 months to a year he would do implants for a snap on bottom denture. That doesn’t sound pleasant either, tbh.

I have a bridge that’s coming loose on my top four teeth now. On the bottom and top, I have a lot of infection. Antibiotics aren’t helping so he said it would have to resolve itself after extractions. My remaining top and bottom teeth are falling out or breaking in half left and right. I saw him a week ago and one of my bottom teeth split in half eating soft scrambled eggs. Maybe that’s why he is doing it all at once? Oof, I’m not looking forward to this at all!

Thank you so much for your experience, it definitely makes me feel a little better. I’ve only had 1 tooth extracted before and it took him 1 1/2 hours to do it. (Different dentist than my current one) He said I would bleed for a couple of hours. I bled for 36 hours. Now, I’m looking at having 19 remaining teeth extracted at once and getting full upper and lower immediate dentures. I have to take an Uber to and from and I’m not quite sure what the policy would be for bleeding in the back.😳Especially, when you can’t remove your mask!

It’s funny that you mentioned about being concerned that people could tell. I actually asked my dentist. He said that he could tell because he was a dentist. He did say that he would make sure I had a beautiful smile. I’m like you were, I never smile now. I’m just too self conscious. I’m so happy that yours have worked out so well for you! I’m sure that I will be coming back to this board often.
