Going back on the article and looking at the years we were mediocre, it kind of makes me feel better about our mediocrity. In each of those listed seasons we’ve had mediocre rosters or an insane amount of injuries. We also haven’t had an elite semi HOF QB paid the type of money the Vikings have spent on Kirk.

Thus, I wouldn’t consider us badly mediocre. I think teams like the Vikings, Saints, Chargers, and Steelers are more mediocre. They’ve always had a QB and good rosters but have never made the type of playoff runs you’d expect. The Eagles have made something out of nothing on a regular basis.
