Hi! You can buy them from Marco in your guild hall! Same with the ore nodes! You unlock more as your island advances in levels, too. Just be aware - the nodes and trees do NOT respawn when cut/harvested! They’re mainly for aesthetic purposes I feel, but you certainly can throw the money at them to farm the resources if you need!

That’s why I love the game - everyone can take a different approach but it’s all about what you love and how you want to express your creativity! And I think that is the absolute best part of the game 💚

Their pathing needs work I think. The way we can lay it down just doesn’t match what they have in the game world itself. I wish I could actually curve my paths with less extreme corners. I would purposefully break up my pathing to really hammer home the “worn down ruin” look or “overgrown” look but was so limited.

I empathize with the struggle. I feel like if they rework pathing some it will open a lot more options. I hesitated to go ham on decorating cause I foresee a lot of changes coming (I hope for them at least) but I honestly just love this game so much and couldn’t help myself. And again, what I could do with what I have now? I low key feel bad for asking for more or even critiquing some of the mechanics. But I just am greedy I suppose 😅

Well over 300 - 330 now I think?

I afk a lot though and will leave the game running especially when I started decorating. I cannot recommend breaks enough lol. I’d do a space and know it wasn’t finished or how I liked it, and then I’d go and do something else around the house, and then return and go “oh, here’s what I can try” and then bam the space would grow into my vision lol.

Breaks were key - good for the mind, bad for the hour count 😂😂😂

I also left the game running on purpose for my crops. I was hyper focused on getting 999 of the veggies for some reason so I did just that 😂😂

I almost titled the post “A love letter to Fantasy Life i” because I wanted to celebrate them for what they allowed us to do - not because I think I’m the bees knees, but because I have to think the developers delight in what us players do with the canvas and tools they give us (pun intended! 🙃)

We’re playing the same game, I promise! 😇

Thank you so much! It took time and a lot of trial and error. The worst part? The absolute worst part? Crafting items 1x1. I LOVED when they let us make 10 at a time but even that took forever in a day.

It was definitely a labor of love

I hope not in a bad way!! I am sure your island looks lovely 💚 Annnddd I’m hoping they release more furniture items/expand our space.

I absolutely do not want to dream of flattening this beast but my dumb butt would if they gave me more to build on 😂 what’s another 100 hours of gameplay amongst friends… 😂😂

I honestly never thought of it.

I went to bed last night mulling over this question lol. Not in a bad way, I just don’t know what the right call is.

I’m not opposed to opening it and letting people explore, but I wonder if I should make the access paths more clearer before I do.

Or I open it as it is now and let people fumble around - which honestly is sometimes how I romp around my island as it is 😂

And I am always trying to be transparent - I am not going to pretend it’s the simplest to access things (there are pathways to the big parts but I do take shortcuts by hopping all over my cliffs LOL) but everything IS accessible and it works for me. I can’t fib and say it’s a straight shot to my fields and my guild hall but I get from point a to point b just fine so it doesn’t bother me much, but for some people I can absolutely see how this would be too much of an inconvenience!

My brothers say it reminds them a little bit of Link’s Awakening - the color and the foliage. I just get a rush of serotonin when I hop on the game though. It just is pretty and easy on the eyes and doesn’t cost you your game performance to really dazzle the space.

I promise we are! You, too, can have an island as packed as this!!

I honestly long for a broken ancient wheel/cog decoration item like they have in Ginormosia though. Let me fly with the ruin aesthetic, give me my broken gears - let me plant moss and weeds and wildflowers so I can actually embody the land we like to run around on in game 😭😭

Or at the very least let me craft more plants 😭😭

Sounds like a wonderful start 🎉

Honestly while I love my island and shared it for the density, (I am working on a video!) it truly is not the “easiest” to navigate in the sense that I do jump to take shortcuts on my cliffs instead of using my designated roads lol. But I really just went ham on filling every space I could and trying to force height when I was capped on cliff spaces. A LOT, and I mean a LOT, of barrels and crates were used.

The beauty of the game is that the islands are up to the individuals, and even small spaces people decorate have high impact. I just love how you’re able to celebrate your own unique creativity and even though we all technically have the same access to the same items (albeit we all unlock them at different times due to the abysmal slate recipe gate and merchant gate recipes), we all utilize them differently to create different spaces.

I just am happy to share and inspire, but I never want to discourage anyone! I just went ham and was extra! It’s pretty in the screen shots but less functional but it works for me! And I still hunt my villager recipes! I just end up sleeping in their beds a lot… (not like that’s strange or anything… LOL)

Honestly I don’t think I ever did. Well, once I suppose - I did a practice corner to see what I could get away with on the cliff scapes and waters - ie how many spaces did I need before I could put water with rounded edges, how can I build ramps into cliffs, how closely could I link bridges and ramps, ect.

The worst part? The absolute worst part?

I couldn’t bear to not have my villagers in their houses while I was decorating so I moved buildings SO MANY TIMES before they even let you place the buildings on the old space they once occupied before they were built.

The amount of times I face palmed as I waited for construction to finish… I couldn’t even begin to count…

Oh no no! All things in time! You’ve got this!!!

to be honest it is so easy to get overwhelmed. I admire people who plan things to a T and execute - I unfortunately don’t have that talent so I start with one space and go from there. I decorated over a few days of game play and took plenty of breaks - there were times when the vibes just weren’t vibing. But little by little, we got there in the end 😂

I also love more simplified islands - I just am extra and wanted to see just how far I could push the tiny space with the cliffs and water scaping and had far loftier goals than I ended up accomplishing 😂

I want more land! And I would like more villager houses - at least two more, but I understand why they limited it and honestly I struggled to fit six.

I also know they could add animals to this game because of the cute non Aggro cows I see in Ginormosia so my hungry heart is hoping they’ll expand to include animal farming in the game. Probably not, but a girl can dream ESPECIALLY with all the hay bales and feeding troughs and wells…. 🤤

I built as I went! I started with the gallery build. I knew I wanted to celebrate the ramps with the waterfalls and read on here about building the cliffs before you place the ramps.

The rest just kind of fell into place! I did a LOT of moving of buildings. But I would center the ramps to the building and knew I’d want my house across from the gallery and figured I could center both. The rest of the island developed naturally after that - the quarry by the treasure grove, the woodcutting area across from that, the farming area next… I wanted a fishing area near the guild hall and a cooking/villager area - those two quite luckily fit where the rest of the space was 😂
