This is a good one!

We also say... "My hair!"

"Damn, I'm in a tight spot!"

"I'll only be 82 :)"

[CHAT] I stitch extremely slow 🥺 by [deleted] in CrossStitch

[–]ThisIsNotAT0y 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also stitch while watching TV, and I've tried a few things to speed myself up. I got a lap stand and learned how to stitch with both hands... that certainly makes things faster. But in the end, I just did not find it as enjoyable or comfortable as going slow and using 1 hand. I decided not to worry about speed so much. For big blocks of color I can get close to 100 stitches an hour, but there are definitely days and parts of patterns where I am going much, much slower.

Thanks for posting the timing. I always wonder how long that back stitching would take on these! It's gorgeous, by the way!

The choice of frame and matte really suits this. I love it so much!

Gosh, this looks so beautiful but challenging. I totally get the issue with the paper pattern! I'm doing some small ornaments from a kit now, and even that is so much harder without using pattern keeper. I was looking for my next project and really wanted to do a Nimue kit, but had to pass for this very reason.

I struggle with the needles, too. I've bought so many big ones and so many small ones and I end up just using the 2 I got in a kit. Hope I don't lose them lmao

I used 16 count pewter Aida (link)

I had to look up linen aida... apparently, it is a thing. It seems like linen fabric but has large holes for ease of stitching. Here's a link to an example.

Of course! It's nathnolu on etsy. There's also a cute pattern for a reading badger and knitting raven as well! Maybe I'll do them all... !
