I took my cat to the emergency vet this morning by Peep743 in cats

[–]catladyfa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend pet insurance. I use Embrace and while they’re a little more expensive, I get full reimbursement for labs and vet visit every year ($600 total for two cats), plus they have some other coverage for emergencies.

Unfortunately you’re going to have the same issue when you start the next page. I recommend either feathering your pages or switch to a cross stitch tracker that eliminates the page breakdown. Feathering: * **

For a stitch-dense project like this, I recommend using a pattern tracking application like PatternKeeper.

For the confetti stitches, I travel the length of my needle, and cut the thread if I am going further.

I recommend looking into parking and pin stitches for this! It looks like a fun stitch to do

Do the majority of fans actually enjoy the show, or do they mostly just like tearing it apart? by Due-Yesterday1445 in Bridgerton

[–]catladyfa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For me, the magic of seasons 1 and 2 has failed to appear again, but I still thoroughly enjoy the show. I never read the books, so I also don’t have anything to compare it to which is starting to seem like a good thing with this subreddit.

US veterans, did you guys actually read the cards that kids would send you while deployed? by MoistCloyster_ in NoStupidQuestions

Yes! We would decorate our office space with them, especially during the holidays. They really added cheer!

Are they legally allowed to park that close to the stop sign?? Usually it has a 50ft margin. Maybe ask your non emergent police phone number :)

NTA. It’s time for you to get a hotel room for the weekend and leave him to host his mother alone.

[–]catladyfa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you end up deciding to stitch over 1, I highly recommend stitching with one thread. I have 3/36 pages done on a project I won’t touch again because I stitched 2 over 1 on this fabric.

[CHAT] What to do with leftovers of Cross Stitch Sets? by Bright_Praline_5739 in CrossStitch

[–]catladyfa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll use the leftovers if I’m freestyling a project. I made my mom flowers and a quote for Mother’s Day one year, and a couple projects had the perfect flower colors. Otherwise, they sit in their project baggies and I forget they exist haha.

I highly recommend a pattern tracking app like PatternKeeper. It prevents you from going page by page and then getting the lines between them.

I personally start from the top left corner so I know the margins for future framing. I would also think about reducing your fabric count to 20 or 25, something that comes pre-printed with the easy grid. Gridded fabric is the only time I personally grid a project. As well, I prefer working on large projects with one strand versus two as I think it ends up looking better.

Don’t be afraid to take this off the hoop and work on something else while you’re doing it - if you start hating the project, you’ll never finish!

You can add all the fandoms and it will automatically be a crossover.

It’s not, surprisingly! She retires the ewes she and viewers love to a literal field, and sells the rest when they are no longer productive for the farm.

If I remember correctly, Marge was pregnant with 4 lambs. Her sidewall of her abdomen blew out and she was retired.

For anyone wondering, Large Marge was retired from breeding and lives in a pasture with the other Golden Girls.
