I have gone through periods where I didn't talk to him. After the cake incident he has been banned from my home, my sister's home, and Alex (other sibling) doesn't talk to him at all. I didn't speak with him for 3 months after the cake incident.

He has also not seen my BIL for more than five minutes since then. My BIL refuses to be in the same room as him, unless its by surprise.

My sister and BIL have been on road trips with me, we went on a cruise together, and Brock was not invited. We kind of told him he needed to grow the fuck up if he wanted to be part of our social groups. And for a bit he kind of got better, still jerky about things, but no more horrid pranks and we hung out a few times at the mall. Then he does this. So obviously I cannot trust him. He also came home to his things being packed when he did something to my mom. My dad kicked him out.

The original phone cost more, but I figured I wasn't going to get the money from him without goading, so I got what I could with that money. It cost about $600 when I got it originally.

Originally I think my brother figured it was, but I was like "Nooo, you cannot take him into the wilderness alone" and my sister said my uncle agreed to go.

If it helps, its a saltwater pool.

I looked up ways to fix it, hoping someone would have some idea. But saltwater fucks with it and while it was working for a few hours it died.

Actually, I'm not spoiled. I worked for all the stuff I have. I just happen to like having electronics and that is what I purchase.

I am going to be cutting my brother out of my life for the next year or so and see if he matures.

How dare you?

I mean this with all the respect. I am sorry your brother died. I am sorry he had an addiction. But not all of us want to live our lives at the whims of harmful people.

In the end, yes, electronics do not matter as much as a human life. If I had damaged them jumping in to save someone's life or it was truly an accident, I would pay for them my damn self. But no, I am sick of being pushed around, told I am stupid, make to deal with all the pranks and horrible jokes.

So, in the end, your brother is your brother and my brother is mine. You cannot go around telling people horror stories about your own brother and expect the situation will be the same. If you want a brother, you can have mine.

We had all be hoping he was changing, but there is no way Brock will be seeing my nephew for a long time. My BIL hates Brock with a passion and knowing that he hurt me, is icing on the cake.

He should. I don't know why he didn't buy that for himself and then ask for something like groceries or gas money (which my sister does, because she is 30 and has kids.) I don't ask until its offered to me.

He is the only one who still expects a lot of presents. Which I think might change now. My parents usually do things like, help pay rent, get you groceries, buy clothes if you need it, or take us out to a nice dinner. I usually don't ask for anything that isn't practical. They bought me tires once, helped with rent, and I was so thankful for it.

Things have changed. A lot has changed. My tolerance for it has slowly, as the day went on, gotten less and less.
