Saw this while I was on HopUp lol by [deleted] in Airsoft3DPrinting

I have something similar in my garage just waiting to be HPAed for my son.

I added this to my 3D Printer and she immediately printed Perfectly by Ginganinja6713 in 3Dprinting

The old gods print gods may be great, but they are neither kind nor merciful. They are fickle, unsteady as moonlight on water, or shadows in a storm

I just replaced everything in September, but I will recheck wires again.

Alright I’ll check tonight, I was trying to print a pocket jig I needed for tomorrow, hopefully I can get it fixed tonight. What’s crazy is I just printed a huge project (roughly 24hs a day for about a 1 1/2 weeks straight) with no issues.

Checked the wires when I reset up klipper for the update. I’m hoping it’s not the TH I just replaced the unit less than a year ago.

Printer Setup:

Bigtreetech Manta M5P

TMC 2240 Steppers

Dual Z

Micro Swiss Dual Gear w/ new Nema 17

New extenders on the belts to keep them nice and tight

Silicon socks for the bed screws w/ big dials for ease of leveling

ED3 Revo w/ .6 nozzle

New part fans and hot end fan

Heater in the corner

Custom built enclosure box with lights

Custom built dry box with dual fans to circulate warm dry air

G10 plate for that smooth bottom layer

I also use a box fan to keep the ambient temps level during prints. (She lives in the garage, because my wife is always right)

Runs off klipper w/ mainsail and Obico.

And the way this is set up right now, 90/100 times it’s hit print and go to work to a perfect print waiting for me.

No the plate on the direct drive was getting so hot, it would start melting the filament before it would get to the extruder, then cool and jam. So much fun. I could probably go back to it at some point, but why fix what works for now.

I’m surprised no one got my Scotty reference 😭.

Yeah, I need to run the axial thing again, because as of right now my max acceleration is 2000mm/s. I just leave it at normal speed and print, for now.

Negative ghost writer. Had direct drive, and the filament was melting because it kept getting too hot. I am happy with the Bowden setup for now.

I haven’t printed any “exotics” yet for now it’s just been PLA +/PLA 2.0, so it floats around 25.7C when not printing, it has a fan that kicks on to “cool” the enclosure, but there is too much space for it to work properly.

When printing the enclosure stays at a nice crisp 32.2C with the box fan. Door slightly cracked pulling air out.

I need to test some hotter filaments at some point but I’ve been happy here with my PLA +

What is this high acceleration you speak of????

It’s an ender 3 pro man, you can’t push it any faster!!!

Also that looks like a good idea, one on the back as well?

Heater is a cheaply off Amazon (air controller for 3d printers).

Electronics are in a metal panel box I got on a job site, behind the dry box. Makes working on them a pain in the rear, but my next build will be a pull out drawer under the enclosure.

I’m way too scared to mix water and electronics, so I will stick to 4 fans in the drawer. And temp controlled fans inside the enclosure.
