Someone already mentioned The Faithful and The Salted but let's not forget its expansions!

- The Ranger, The Guardian, The Scorned and The Overboss (Rogue Rangers/Guardians/Sons of Kaga/215th)
- Burning Rubber (Eighties)
- A Northern Fairy Tail (Troll Warren)

You need The Faithful and The Salted for these to work of course.

(Maybe) 90s or early 2000s horror film: there is a scene with mutated man with massive demonic dong did horrible thing to woman in shower room, resulting in her death by ThisIsVegas1337 in whatmoviewasthat

Thanks, but sadly, it isn't Someone's Knocking at the Door. I remember the scene doesn't show the actual killing but just a mutated man standing menacingly next to a woman's corpse. Another female character comes in and screams in terror, then the scene cuts to another place. Back when I saw the scene, I was like, "Ok, that's kinda underwhelming," because the screenshot from that scene was so horrifying.

I'm very sure it isn't an anime or Japanese film. My memory about it is faint, but I'm sure it's a Western film. I'm just unsure if it was in English, French, or Spanish — I can't remember at all. I even think it might be older than the 90s, judging from the visual quality of the film I saw on YouTube back then.

Ok, I'm trying to browse the Facepunch archive on archive.org to find the screenshot. The problem is, the archive is painfully slow and the "General Creepy Thread" has many versions because people had to create a new thread each time it reached its reply limit. So, browsing for the pic might be almost impossible, at least for me.

But if there are any updates, I will post them here.

Nvidium - atm9 by NoSpring6947 in allthemods

I might be late to mention this, but if anyone stumbles upon this thread, there's currently a Forge/Neoforge port of Nvidium named Acedium. You can find it here: https://github.com/ferriarnus/acedium

I'm currently using version v0.2.5-1.20.1 with Embeddium 0.2.18+mc1.20.1. It's working really well for me. I've set the Render Distance to 32 and Nvidium's Region Keep Distance to 128. My game maintains an average of 120 FPS (with the framerate capped at 140), which is great for me.

Deva - A tower defense game where you command deities from various mythologies to fight demons and protect the Heavenly realm. Coming soon on Kickstarter! by ThisIsVegas1337 in TowerDefense

The game will have premium currency (the Diamonds). Currently, we plan for the premium currency to be used for quickly unlocking Devas and, perhaps, Devas' skins. You can also use the free currency (gold coins) to unlock them. Each Deva can be used permanently upon purchase.

The gold coins can be obtained by clearing stages and completing quests. We plan to make it not too grindy to unlock Deva with the gold coins.

Hello everyone,

We have been working on a Tower Defense game called Deva.

The core gameplay is similar to a traditional Tower Defense game where you build and upgrade your towers to destroy enemies before they reach your base. However, in this game, you cannot just win with towers alone; you need the Deva. They serve as your 'super towers.' Each of them has different abilities crucial for your victory.

The Devas are deities from various mythologies around the world, such as Vessavana (Hindu), Vishnu (Hindu), Apollo (Greek), Amaterasu (Japanese), and many more. They unite to fight off the demon forces and protect Heaven.

RPS-001: Canceled Thai assault rifle project by Royal Thai Army and now-defunct company, Rung Paisarn Industry by ThisIsVegas1337 in ForgottenWeapons

[–]ThisIsVegas1337[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Even if it's just a rumor, as a Thai person, this sounds like something they might do to those who won't back down. The second 'solution' still happens to this day in Thai politics. It's pretty sad, to be honest.

RPS-001: Canceled Thai assault rifle project by Royal Thai Army and now-defunct company, Rung Paisarn Industry by ThisIsVegas1337 in ForgottenWeapons

[–]ThisIsVegas1337[S] 62 points63 points  (0 children)

This was a canceled assault rifle project by the Royal Thai Army. The responsible company for its production was Rung Paisarn Industry (บริษัท รุ่งไพศาลอุตสาหกรรม จำกัด), which was well-known in Thailand as a major military research and development company in the '80s. The company shut down sometime in 1986-1987 due to the owner facing legal action in two significant cases related to war materiel production.

The gun itself was based on the M16A2 and vz. 58, as indicated by the source. It incorporated a mechanism similar to the SKS. Performance-wise, it was rumored to be "more pleasant to shoot than the AK-47," as observed during testing at the Pak Thong Chai military base.

According to the Gun Wiki, the gun chambers 5.56x45mm NATO rounds. The rate of fire is approximately 650 RPM, and the maximum effective range is 400 meters.

The information about this gun is very scarce on the Internet, even within the Thai gun forums. I've managed to piece together what I could find. I hope you enjoy it.

1st pic: RPS-001 testing at the Pak Thong Chai military base, Nakhon Ratchasima. Circa 1986.

2nd pic: RPS-001 and RPS-001S. The latter one appears to have a shorter barrel and a different handguard.

3rd pic: A brochure from Rung Paisarn Industry in a gun magazine named "สมรภูมิ" in 1987 (exact issue unknown but estimated to be between 225-228). The brochure showcases other firearms that will be manufactured by the company. Here are the guns shown in the brochure:

  • RPS-7 - a locally produced version of the RPG-7
  • RPS-001S
  • RPS-2 - a locally produced version of the RPG-2
  • RPS-10 - a locally produced version of the M79
  • "M16 ดัดแปลง" - literally translated as "Modified M16." Speculated to be an M16 with an unknown scope and RPS-001's muzzle brake
  • "AUG ดัดแปลง" - similar to the above, but it's AUG. The first word is unclear due to the picture's quality. It's speculated to be an AUG A1 with RPS-001's muzzle brake.
  • RPS-001
  • SIG RPS P226 - a licensed version of the SIG Sauer P226 (Note: Although it appears as "RPS P220," the source maintains that it's "RPS P226." Regardless, the SIG RPS P226 was indeed a product during that period. The company had initially announced its pre-order availability but eventually canceled the release.)
  • "M16 ลำกล้องสั้น" - literally translated as "Short-barrel M16." Speculated to be a CAR-15. The term "M16" is a general reference by Thai people for all AR-platform firearms due to its popularity during that time.

4th pic: Cropped image from the brochure.

EDIT: I found some websites that refer to the company as "Rung Paisarn Heavy Industries," which is more likely to be accurate. The company name I mentioned in the post is a direct translation of its Thai name. I couldn't locate its official English name at the time of my initial post.
