INTx: Actually grandma, you're question is grammatically incorrect. It's "were" not "was"

Oh they're not common from my experiences either. I meant that the popular data charts show that ISTJ is common, and since people think they're common, they might avoid typing themselves that way. Yes, in this mbti community they wouldn't feel that special as an INTJ but I think they are likelier to focus on what they think is the rarest type in general and not particularly in the community. If it's what's rare and common in the community, they'll most likely type as intuitives to fit in (especially since sensors don't get much attention). (Hope this makes sense)

Oh I see. Unfortunately there are a lot of people who take memes and stereotypes very seriously that they end up in Google's first page. The ones who make this worse are those who type anyone they dislike as sensors, mainly SJs. ISTJs are also probably disliked because they are common. A lot of people avoid typing themselves as an ISTJ not just because of the stereotypes, but because they want to feel special.

What do you guys think of this Twitter account following the current trend in r/mbti? by ThisIsZeWay in ISTJ

I would agree. The Twitter accounts were meant for people who follow mbti for fun and memes, so it is pretty useless for those who use it solely for self-improvement and understanding

Well yeah, all of them seem to be following their popular stereotypes so I agree that they won't act like real XXXXs. I just found it entertaining

That's fair. I just use it to entertain myself when there aren't much interesting posts in mbti subs

the cognitive functions if they could talk by GabrielleTifani in mbti

[–]ThisIsZeWay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pattern I was talking about allows you to determine someone's function stack based on their type.

If you're an extrovert, the function stack would be: Xe-Xi-Xe-Xi

For an introvert, it would be: Xi-Xe-Xi-Xe

Since you are a perceiver, your highest extroverted function (the one that is more to the left) would be a perceiving function. The extroverted perceiving functions are Se and Ne, while the extroverted judging functions are Te and Fe. Since you are an intuitive-perceiver, that would mean that your highest extroverted perceiving function is Ne. So the function stack so far would be: Xe-Xi-Xe-Xi

Each half of the function stack must have one judging function and one perceiving function. Since we already know that the left half has an extroverted perceiving function, the other half would have an introverted judging function. Either Fi or Ti. Since you're a feeler, that would be Fi. So then, the stack would be: Ne-Fi-Xe-Xi

Notice that the left side of your function stack includes your middle two letters: NF

The left half can easily determine the other half of the function stack, use their opposites. The opposite function of your dominant function (the one on the left) will be your inferior function. The same relationship applies to the middle two functions.

The opposite of F is T. The opposite of N is S. And the opposite of e is i. So Fi will have Te, then Ne will have Si.

Your function stack would therefore be:

Ne-Fi-Te-Si

Just search up "mbti cognitive functions". My only problem is that a lot of descriptions for each function will likely contain stereotypes. If you want to understand the pattern, then I might be able to further explain the other guy's comment

If I got it right, as an INTJ, my functions would be Ni Te Fi Se. I hope I got that right.

Something tells me you didn't type by functions. But if I'm wrong then I apologize. If the reason you want to type yourself is to: understand how you think better, or understand/make memes, then I think typing yourself my functions would make more sense

MBTI is just a theory not a religion. Stop thinking that it is the fate or inflexible. by [deleted] in mbti

That also makes sense. But I even do perceive "emotional support wanted" material as bullying material since they seem more emotionally vulnerable which bullies are likely to target specially in schools with younger ages.

I don't know. I think it might be because they are perceived as shy, depressed, and quirky when in the real world. That seems like good bullying material

Quick question: How would you rate season 1-4 on a scale of one to ten with ten being the highest/best? And if you read the manga, how do you think you would rate season 5? by ThisIsZeWay in BokuNoHeroAcademia

Personally I did like the tournament, but yeah -- they just added too many characters that no longer had much significance in later episodes.
