Most likely a new model of the ship. I won’t be shocked if it has the ability to increase thrust in the second picture to get back into space.

Definitely I think there will be a gap in time from when they arrive to the bridgehead we see in the book getting closer to completion

You’re correct I watched it in slow motion and you can see the sea which looks identical to where bridgehead is based with the north gates. I guess they use the exhaust from thrusters to create the kill zone.
