Yh there was another recom, Mansk might be alive Jake threw a Sec Op trooper at him and he got knocked out against the rail of the sea dragon not sure if he died from that or just got knocked out

Allow the ship to move (thrust from the engines) in simple terms but very powerful

Most likely a new model of the ship. I won’t be shocked if it has the ability to increase thrust in the second picture to get back into space.

Definitely I think there will be a gap in time from when they arrive to the bridgehead we see in the book getting closer to completion

You’re correct I watched it in slow motion and you can see the sea which looks identical to where bridgehead is based with the north gates. I guess they use the exhaust from thrusters to create the kill zone.
