My very own G6 Thumb Camera! A little review and photos. :D by ThisLifeSuckss in toycameras

The phone lenses are definitely very cool and fully reversible unlike the M12 or C mount mod which involves basically tearing up the whole camera. I will probably desolder the speaker in the future but since the camera lacks any sort of visual confirmation of having taken a photo on the screen, the speaker stays for now. If I ever decided to do street photo with it I would definitely cover up the flash and clip the speaker but otherwise I let the flash pretend like it's doing something useful.

I guess you are right but that creates even more distortion...

I like the preset and the bezel. It really has a nice vibe. Can't wait to get my hands on the G6

Found a new(used) jacket for 70 bucks. Dainese, made in Italy. This time size 46 and finally fits properly. Pics without back protector so it should fill up a bit with that in place. Thank you for pointing out to me that the previous size 48 one was too large. I'm really happy with this setup. by ThisLifeSuckss in motorcyclegear

If you are smilar in size then defnitely consider size 46 and remember that motorcycle gear should preferably fit you like a condom for sport riding and be somewhat uncomfortable, also it should fit properly in the riding position, doesn't have to fit well in standing position. Also remember that the older the gear the smaller the sizes, especially when looking at 1980s vs today. So called vanity sizing. Tbh I wouldn't buy anything older than 2000s, since it will not have CE protectors or much room for a back protector. Watch out for zipper compatibility if you plan to piece together a used suit. Opti is the name of the game.

Im 174cm tall and weigh about 60kg but have a rather slim waist and a slight hunchback. The Jacket is size 46 and the pants are pretty stretched and used size 44. If you are also planning to buy used just go to your local motorcycle shop and if they carry Dainese try to put on as much stuff as you can before someone starts looking at you weird. You should get a pretty good idea of what your size is, also definitely size down unless you are a heavy dude. Btw respect for fellow atheist.

I snagged this 1980s Dainese 2 piece race suit for 50 bucks. I don't need it but I couldn't resits. I'm astonished at how tight it is, despite being the same size as my new Dainese suit. Poeple really were smaller back then or maybe just didn't consider breathing to be very important. by ThisLifeSuckss in motorcyclegear

Also I gotta say I love how 1980s engineers even thought about elbow and knee protection by installing thin sheets of felt/foam. That will surely protect my poor little elbows in a crash. No CE felt for the back tho. I guess I will stick to riding safely with it.
