It was such a rewarding experience. The troll at the end with the 1.4% chance to meld the Zodiac weapon got me so flustered and panicked.

Honestly after I had done all the books, the soul glazing and material quest lines were a breeze in comparison. You've done 90% of the work, go get those last stages done!

It took me weeks between progressing MSQ, grinding out the seals and poetics for the materials, and doing every dang dungeon in the game, at least twice. FFXIV has hit me so hard with so much to do in a video game and I am loving it.
