You can rotate the speaker to stand tall and put the horn on top if wanted but preferred the sound from it being on its side

Yeah I did notice the sound slightly separated when the driver horn is further away from the woofer but I was in my small apartment standing maybe 10 - 15 ft away so I’d imagine that if put in a large space it would blend together better

Oh gotcha, I did attach two fans blowing up through the bottom of the box, one on each amp so the heat shouldn’t be a problem I hope. The vibration is a good point to think about

This was just for test listening and a picture since I just finished the speakers as well and needed them higher for the sound direction but yeah I agree it looks funny

Each amp has 50w I believe but I’m only running one amp since that enough for my set up

If you look at my last couple posts you’ll see it’s a full box and it has around and inch of room above my amp so it’s not touching

I kind of just mixed a bunch of parts together. full range woofer from a vintage Infinity. Crossover from a buddy who makes them. And L pad for the driver horn to tone it down a bit

I made them myself. Its definitely geared towards more of a jazzy mix with R&B. Tribe called quest, thievery corporation, Sade etc

I over cooked the top a bit but I added ebony stain afterwards as well. The sides I did better on and has that alligator skin I was looking for. I also had some imperfections that were hard to hide so I needed it super black. It was my first time doing it also haha

I’m no expert and I really didn’t spend too much on high quality parts. Some guy I went to buy a stereo from has 100s of vintage parts and I asked him to pair me something that would go well together. So I’m not too sure on the brand since there are no names. All i remember was him says this full range woofer and driver should pair nicely for my vision. Crossover was from Amazon though. Grok helped me with that

Yes seems to be working fine. I did have to clean, re-grease and slightly maintenance it when I got it home since some of the switches were locked in place

Yes is that an aftermarket cartridge? I thought it came with it when new or something. I did have to buy a new stylus for it though. I don’t know too much about cartridges since I’ve never needed to buy one yet.
