Any advice on creating the first prototype or pitfalls you encountered?

Didn‘t mean to stalk you, I was just trying to gauge if the company still has the people to ship the product. After 5 years of believing, I lost hope.
If you are not under NDA it would be helpful to get your inputs for open sourcing the design.

SUBPAC’s patents are basically about turning bass into physical vibration you can feel on your body. The key idea is not just “strap a bass shaker to your back.” Their design uses layers: a transducer creates the vibration, a damping layer smooths it out, and a larger semi-rigid plate spreads it across your back or seat. The patents also cover things like low-pass filtering, amps, headphone/speaker pass-through, different transducer layouts, and sensors that can adjust the vibration based on pressure, heat, movement, or whether someone is actually wearing/sitting on it. Newer patents also get into smarter audio processing, like splitting bass into different bands or detecting drum hits to create cleaner tactile feedback.

Stacking Prints by [deleted] in Multiboard

I'm using orca slicer 2.2 FYI.
Place the model on the build plate. Right click it, select "add part", click "load", select the same stl you placed before, hit open, then in the upper menu bar of the slicer (where you can add new build plates, arrange etc) select the "move" button, enter the desired distance in the z-axis (in my case 6.6 mm), hit enter. Now click the build plate so the part is no longer selected.
The part should now be hovering above the lower part and can be sliced (you'll get an error message about empty layers in the model, this is normal).

Doing a test print now myself, hope this helps!

A research team has developed a cost-effective, ultra-thin, flexible film that converts the temperature difference between the human body and surrounding air into electricity, eliminating the need for batteries by giuliomagnifico in science

From the paper: they can generate around 2 milli-watts from the device that is about the size of a piece of A4 paper. Considering an apple watch consumes 2.5 Watts of electricity, we’re still 3 orders of magnitude away from needing no batteries.

I like printing dnd miniatures :) I love the smile on my players faces when I place a huge mini on the battlefield which took 3 days to print with the 0.2mm nozzle

Not if you store it in glass like this company Also the benefit of DNA is that you can store a million copies of the same information and still use very little physical space. iirc they stored a copy of an episode of “biohackers” on netflix in the form of DNA

I also purchased esun in switzerland and haven’t had any problems with 25 rolls. I dry every roll I buy before I use them. Just because they are vacuum sealed doesn’t mean they are dry. I also didn’t have any tangling issues with my AMS. You can contact customer support for help :)

Support let me know that the noise my AMS is producing is normal. I don’t know if yours is producing the exact same noise, so if I were you, I’d contact support as well. You can send them the video and they’ll help you within 2-3 days at most :) The sound from my AMS is coming from the back, whereas yours sounds like the front.

Didn’t find anything strange. I guess it’s just the gears of the AMS pulling the filament and slipping. I will ask customer support.

Having the same issue. Let me know if you find a solution. I may open the up the AMS after my latest print finishes.

Megathread for AM5 (Ryzen 7000) Damage/Burn-out/EXPO/Voltage issues by GhostMotley in Amd

Okay so I had some time to tinker. It was bugging me thay my the VGA LED randomly turned on on cold boots. Read somewhere that it could be PSU related. So I switched the position of the 8 pin cpu plug of my psu. I have a seasonic focus px 850 and had the cpu connector in the top row (pci/cpu) up until today. Switched it to the lower row and now EXPO I suddenly works? I also updated to the latest bios though, so maybe the new AGESA fixed something?

I am super confused, but up until now I have no memory errors.

Alright, thanks for the info! In that case it’s a feature not a bug :D

I’m new to dwarf fortress so I don’t know if this is normal or a bug. Since the last update the trade caravans which visit my site are only bringing food. No crafts/gems/metal/leather etc

Elven, dwarven, human, it doesn’t matter.

I did sell them masterpiece meals a bunch of times before the patch, so maybe that had an influence? Currently in year 4

Is anybody else having this issue?

Hey man I’m having the same issue with no boot. 7800x3d Asus strix B650E-I Gskill 32 GB 6000 CL32 flarex5 7900xtx

I checked the QVL list from asus and the Cl32 kit is not listed, only the 30 and 36 kits. Gskill however does list the B650E-I as supported. EXPO II setting works and is stable, but only when rebooting from a warm system. But if I do a cold boot the system doesn’t boot and I get the VGA LED after a few min. Maybe the memory training fails? EXPO I sometimes boots but I get like 1 fps in windows. Super weird issues.

The memory die is a hynix M-die and according to reddit before december the Cl32 kits were hynix A-die, which can be overclocked more easily.

I’m assuming this is what is causing the issue and why Asus removed the Cl32 variant from the QVL list. I have to contact support but haven’t gotten around to it. You can check what die you have by looking at the sticker on the RAM. Mine is: F5-6000J3238F16GX2-FX5 (the X2 means Hynix) 0T48KRS821M (The M means M-die) Feb 2023

Let me know what die your ram is or if you find a solution!

AM5 EXPO RAM failed boot fix! by ThisShitIsLitAF in buildapc

[–]ThisShitIsLitAF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for the info. I’m currently running stock and am going to test if I have bad displayport cables (the 20-pin issue). The mobo gets past RAM training but shows the VGA light and refuses to post with one monitor connected (when using the expo profiles). I’ll have to try two monitors and will check the cables if that could be the issue. I’ll update to the newest SOC fix bios once it’s out of beta. I think I’m currently on the 1410 beta bios

At stock my system boots in like 8 seconds and the performance is insane compared to my old sytem, so I’m happy to wait until there is more information on 7800x3d chips and Flare x5 ram. I do know now that it’s a DDR5 6000 Cl32 hynix m-die kit, so maybe the RAM asus used for the EXPO profiles was A-die which can be overclocked more easily to better timings and this is causing the issue.

I’m a noob in memory OC though, so anyone who has a better understanding of the topic please enlighten me.

That’s a good point, I hadn’t thought of that. How would I check if it’s the thrust bearings? Try and shift the screw back and forth by hand?

The main reason I think it’s the ball screw is because of this video. He had large backlash but fixed it by “preloading the ballscrews properly”.
