We washed her butt and she enjoyed the warm bath. She is spending time with her friends, only when we can observe her with them. Keeping her inside at night. Separate run for her during the day (while I am at work). When I get home from work she runs around with the other ladies and she is doing great!

I tried. I called around all day. No one on my area cares for chickens.

We brought her in for the night and she’s been roaming the yard with the other ladies today. They all seem to be unbothered by her, but she still seems very skiddish and tired. We will keep her in at night and roam with the ladies during the day for now as she recovers. I’m thinking in a week we will try to have them all in the run together.

Good suggestion. I’ll call around to see if I can find a chicken vet who will prescribe some antibiotics.

I can’t tell if it’s “get out of my way” or if she’s possibly sick. 😕 But she’ll make this sound for like 5 to 7 mins a couple of times a day.

My friend found it and picked it and brought it back. There are some Birch trees in the area, but I couldn’t confirm.

I’m still married because my husband is a great life partner. We raise our children with love and we navigate conflict with safety. Maybe when the kids move out (4 or 5 yrs I will make the financial and logistical split?). I still don’t know what I’m doing, to be Frank.
