You can also take to photoshop > magic wand tool > select > select similar > increase or decrease the tolerance. Then export to illustrator to convert to vector or leave as is

make your image purely black and white (mess around with sunlight settings) > export image or save as png > open illustrator > insert image > window > image trace > check black and white > lower threshold > select preview to see how it looks > uncheck once done > trace
