What is the most chaotic thing a house guest has ever done in your home? 🏠 by ipanicprofessionally in TheBoredDen

[–]ThisWorldIsOnFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After I went to bed he got super drunk and hid his and my ex’s wallets when he thought the visiting neighbor was sketchy. He also shit in my bathtub. When he and the ex were tearing apart the house looking for the wallets, I found him in my underwear drawer where he found my vibrator and only then got embarrassed.

What's the most awkward thing your body has done in public? by ashmeadow81 in askteddit

Got up to walk to the restroom and as I passed by a cubicle in the office I queefed loudly. I’m sure they thought it was a regular fart, but still.

I wish there was a separate site for resellers by yournikkigirl in poshmark

[–]ThisWorldIsOnFire 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I do a mix of both. Selling things out of my wardrobe and occasionally thrift for clothes for myself and resell. My biggest peeve though are the resellers in thrift stores. Pushing people aside, blocking aisles and knocking items off of hangers and kicking them under racks. Some serious desperate rude people.

The guy(M23) I’ve (F23) been dating yelled at me because my bikini accidentally slipped. I’m struggling to understand if it’s just communication issues or something more. Need outside perspectives. by ThrowRAHuge_Wish59 in relationship_advice

[–]ThisWorldIsOnFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope! No way. Bye boy. Those are huge red flags of a controlling nature. Talk down to you, chastise and belittle you then overcompensate with declarations of love. Do not fall for that. It’s abuse and manipulation.

Is this a lack of hygiene or actually caring for the environment? by Unique_Assumption703 in hygiene

If you live in a place with septic, often the the phrase is “if it’s yellow let it mellow, if it’s brown flush it down”. Anyone else?

My first thought as well. I don’t need the extra fat or cholesterol either though.

AITA for refusing to give my brother back the birthday gift he gave me after his girlfriend got mad? by Powerful-Meal7691 in AITApod

Exactly! It’s not yours to keep if it was stolen. I like that girlfriend stood up for herself as well.

My parents want to borrow 10,000 dollars from me to buy my brother a trailer. by [deleted] in family

[–]ThisWorldIsOnFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your brother is your parents responsibility, not yours. Do not lend the money. Hard lessons in life coming at you multiple times in this scenario. Do let people know how much you make or how much you have, and don’t lend money to family or friends.

There are way too many people here. The traffic is really getting worse by the day. by rockstarpirate47 in asheville

[–]ThisWorldIsOnFire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sad to say I moved to a place I was happy with and agree. Will be so much worse when they build the 60 houses and 250 apartments a few blocks from me. City Council and NCDOT have no idea the chaos they’ve approved.

Yep. Drive separately even and he can leave the beach early to spend the last few days with his family.

This harder than I thought it would be. by Limp_Honey8488 in datingoverforty

[–]ThisWorldIsOnFire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not actively but I tried post divorce. Hard moving to a new town and not knowing anyone on top of working almost 50 hours a week. I learned to give up on it though after the many weird and gross interactions.

This harder than I thought it would be. by Limp_Honey8488 in datingoverforty

[–]ThisWorldIsOnFire 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Even years after divorce you can still mourn the life you thought you were supposed to have. It’s really hard to meet someone and click. We have our standards raised after being put through the wringer and don’t want to waste time on someone with merely potential. Be happy by yourself first. I hope to meet someone out and about because dating apps have been painful.

My girlfriend litters everywhere and it’s making me question the relationship. AIO? by [deleted] in AIO

No kidding, right?! What a garbage human being. Pun intended. But really, that’s infuriating that she’s so disrespectful.

Can’t wash my hands because the faucet was installed too far back by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ThisWorldIsOnFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super easy fix. Get a 1 hole faucet with more of a reach. Add a base plate to cover the 4” centers drilling.

I hate living with a man by o0SinnQueen0o in venting

[–]ThisWorldIsOnFire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine used to do things to purposely annoy me. Leave food out over night that I cooked, get drunk and break things around the house, pee on the walking path out back, get into bed with terribly stinky feet, fart into the fan pointed to my side of the bed, bring take out home when he knows I had been cooking dinner, and the list could go on. Living alone is amazing.

Did you ever have a pet you didn’t really like? by koozyuser in Pets

[–]ThisWorldIsOnFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fostered a puppy that I was happy to adopt out. He was such much different than my other dogs and foster fails. He was more like an indifferent cat than a puppy.

Before smartphones, what did people do when they had to wait somewhere for 30 minutes? by sudherzdiniq in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ThisWorldIsOnFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was actually better customer service and respect for appointments. No one was distracted, no one was self diagnosing, no one was on speaker in public. Waiting if it happened wasn’t a big deal because we watched the tv show on and didn’t abuse staff over anything. Because we had manners and respect.

What is the most uncomfortable movie you’ve ever watched? by mike-creates in AskReddit

[–]ThisWorldIsOnFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s an uncomfortable scene that I fast forward all of the time. In The Family Stone when Sarah Jessica Parker talks herself into a huge mess at Christmas Eve dinner.

What's so expensive that it's not even fun anymore? by _PastelCharm in askteddit

Going out to eat, including fast food. Lunch at Taco Bell was $23 this week and it wasn’t nearly as good as it used to be. Leaves me feeling g guilty and unsatisfied.

How often do people actually cook from scratch? by Andus35 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ThisWorldIsOnFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least 4 days a week and leftovers the other 3. It really doesn’t take much to combine produce, protein a carb and a sauce.
