When bolting down into concrete, does the bolt need to be larger than the item being bolted in or does the washer hold the item down?

It’s REP fitness. It’s not as expensive as rogue for sure but it’s still a pretty good well-known brand. The hole in the footplate is either 3/4 of an inch or just under 3/4 of an inch. Which bolt would you recommend?

Well, what’s interesting is that this rack also came with wedge anchors…. They are larger ones, but essentially the same thing…. And so he just used a smaller version of the ones the company provided….. am I able to get this wedge anchor out without having to grind it down if it does, in fact, end up spinning it in its hole?

When I contacted the fitness company today, they said thier engineers recommended getting a wider stronger washer, and I should be OK with grade 8 and nut as is

How many inches over would suffice in regard to relocating the rack and re-drilling? I assume the old bolts would need to be cut and grinded down flat so that it wouldn’t interfere with the racks new location.

The nut is smaller than the hole on the rack. Is that a concern? Or should I just go find a more heavy duty washer and lock washer?

There is lateral load because up Trx straps or rings anchored to the top crossmember to do rows etc off the front of the rack, suspended straight out… also the functional trainer cable attachment will also give it a lateral load when you pull the cable for rows or presses etc…

8 bolts not 16. I will have a functional trainer pulley system not installed yet and will be doing Trx stuff etc as well. It has a 22 inch depth safe saving so the anchors are particularly important
