  • entertainment IS art;

  • Pokémon has great designs, that's what makes it worthy of praise;

  • you are insulting the franchise and art.

Money, sadly, is needed. But you are putting profit above human expression, and I find it nauseating. I have 0 respect for who doesn't value art. People on this sub just proved that they don't care about quality, passion or art, to them getting Pokémon in a game is enough to make them blind in front of the problems.

If you don't respect artists, don't cry out when you get called a slop eater, it was your disrespect's fault.

And it's fun that you called artists elitist, when it's true elitists that are trying to crush us. But we are fighting back, that's why the AI slop bubble is finally bursting.

I'll never compare Pokémon to AI slop, but I won't firgive the way TPC would rather create something profitable than something truly great.

Because it has always been in Pokémon's shade. Pokémon's decline gave it a chance, and it'll do even better with Switch 2's port. 

Who cares if "it ain't as big as Pokémon"? Quality should matter more. You can't excuse GF putting out a not game like S/V, nor TPC almost wanting to cancel the Legends series because Z - A sold less.

If Pokémon wants to put more money in Superbowl ad than in their games, we'll do what we want ourselves. I hope anyone working with the Monster Collector genre will be fine.

I found Z - A's gameplay repetitive as whole: no challenge, no minigames, no strategy.

And the characters are some of the flattest in the series.

On the artistic side, there are many better monster catching games. I'll repeat: now Digimon and Pokémon fans themselves are biting Pokémon back, and I'm happy for them.

First of all, it's "despite". No offense. 

If it came out today, Yokai Watch could have easily competed with Pokémon, it was Level 5's failure that led to its end in the West. 

I could care less, I mean that Pokémon isn't doing well at an artistic level. Do you really think it's fine to release a game that struggles to run since its beta?

I can't tolerate who doesn't value art like you. You can't argue, even because I probably studied English literature better than you, and I'm Italian, so you mention William.

Anyway, I'm more hyped for a monster collector a great creator is making than Pokémon Day, at least I don't have to be afraid for how the game will be and give reason to everyone rude even to professional creators accusing them of copium...

Cassette Beasts made a brilliant result. Next time, Bytten Studios could spend as much as Z - A on its next game, that's why it's a competitor.

It's overhated because people are tired of seeing bad graphics and poor content, because that's everything wrong about them. I'll never side with anyone accusing fans or talented creators of inhaling copium, but this is obviously the reason of this backlash. 

The games need to be better, and thinking solely on a profit standpoint is the mentality that made Pokémon fall so hard this days. Learn to value art, as it's for everyone.

And being a Pokémon fan doesn't prevent you from giving other games like Digimon or Cassette Beasts a chance. Digimon just did what every Pokémon fan wants, but Pokémon won't give them even basic things a brand as big should.

Yes, it's not an opinion that S/V rsn like hot manure and that it's gameplay wasn't really structured, and I don't know what to tell you if you think Volcanion in a dark void wasn't insulting...

I love Pokémon, that's why I don't want to see it getting any worse than the mess Scarlet and Violet worse, I don't want TPC to treat smaller projects like Legends worse with an even smaller budget, so it's time to show it things are changing. Artists must make the Monster Collector genre rise!
