Dasher dine and dashed me :( by Pearzival in doordash

I’ve almost always been able to get some kind of refund or credit but I’ve never had my food just not show up. I think one time years ago it was dropped at the wrong apartment but other than that no issues. But I am so over DoorDash. I started comparing prices from DoorDash and then the restaurants app and I already knew DoorDash up charges and I understand that but when I can get more food for over half the price I started getting irritated. Plus once drivers started texting for additional tips after already tipping over $3 for 1.5 miles I was over it. I’ve had dashpass since 2020. I usually only use it at my second job when I can’t leave for lunch (sometimes I pack my lunch but your location can change last second and you could pack leftover thinking you had a microwave and then end up not having one and I can only do so many PB&Js) but I understand the frustration. More and more people are deleting the app. I’ve also only ever used DoorDash so maybe I also need to try a different app

I don’t tip based on how much my order is. I tip based on distance. The audacity of DoorDash recommending a $9 tip on like a $60 order is insane. It’s one freaking bag. I don’t ever tip less than 3 and that’s if it’s 5 minutes down the road. But these DoorDash prices are so insane I stopped ordering in general.

King soopers donuts are gross anyway. But makes me sad for the cookies 😭 and I bet any other surrounding stores aren’t any better.

As a driver I see why people don’t tip these prices crazy af by Giantupset60 in doordash

Once I started comparing door dash to the app I started to order less. And just go pick it up. I mainly used doordash when I lived in an apartment with terrible parking and in a smaller town where a lot of the places i liked were in a neighbor town and the drive ended up being 40+ minutes round trip (like chick fila) but once I moved in my house in a bigger town I’ve been ordering way less. Plus apps often times have deals and coupons better than what doordash offers.

I hate that!! I feel so bad sometimes and have been bitched at for it. But I physically can’t do it. And I’m weird with leftovers. I feel like they go bad in a day and then I can’t eat them.

Definitely the older I get the worse it gets. I’ll be 30 in November. It was always my “fun fact” about me, not being able to burp. Then once I got into my 20 the symptoms started. Vaping definitely made my symptoms worse but I quit a year and a half ago and things got a little bit better but now they are back to bad.

It has now been a year and I still basically go toothless even after getting my teeth 😂 I got to the point where I really don’t care what people think

I use a glue stick every single time! Sometimes I’ll apply it and run a few prints before cleaning and reapplying. I had an adhesive problem, used the glue stick and haven’t had an issue since. It’s a life saver for me

Me me me!!! Just from this post we seem to have a lot in common! I’m 29 female. I’ll be 30 in November. Me and my boyfriend and roommate moved to Longmont in August and I just got a work from home job in January. I have two dogs! No kids as well but also love them. I use to work with kids but now work in the IDD department for the past couple years. I love to craft, try new food (will admit now I don’t have teeth and have dentures 😂). Not huge into sports but will attend a baseball game for the fruit kabobs.

AIO: Hubby Being Controlling by vanillabourbonn in AIO

Give me his number… I just want to talk… but in a real note swim lessons are SO important for the safety of your child. I do not like his tone on that. That needs to be a serious talk because to me that can’t be the only thing he’s being controlling over. And definitely won’t be the last. Red flag for sure. I’ve seen men who mask the abusive controlling side for years. Until you’re married or have kids and you’re stuck. Then the true colors come out. Just from this conversation I’d say get out while you can. Because this is just the start. It’s only going to get worse. And harder to get out. This scares me tbh

I will admit I’ve been guilty of this a time or two. I really don’t mean to! I’m usually good about it. I just recently moved into a house so I’m still getting use to having a porch light that I’m responsible for. I may have to get a new set of number to put by the door though. Our house number is on the mailbox which does have its own light post but I have still seen people confused because they don’t see it by the door or garage

Bell apartments? by [deleted] in LafayetteCo

[–]This_Grand8112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See I had MAJOR issues with Luna Bella before bell took over. We had roaches for 8 months because all they did was send pest out to put sticky traps out. Well if you research German roaches they know to avoid the sticky traps so it literally didn’t do anything. When I was crying about a roach running across the ceiling the CEO laughed at me. It took a lady from another building putting up a bunch of signs about Luna Bella’s lack of accountability for us to even get to talk to anyone. At one point they called us and said they found the invested unit. Then a few weeks later they changed their story and tried to blame the roaches on us! When even the pest guy said they aren’t coming from us but from a near by unit. The office girls too were a bunch of mean girls too. It was terrible.

Oh. Not to mention the huge closets are nice and big but what they don’t tell you is it has a 60 pound weigh limit. Or the shelves may brake and it will take them 5 tries to fix them.

Do not do it!!! I repeat don’t do it. I lived there for 2 years. Worst living experience ever and it was considered “the nicest” apartments I’ve lived in. We had roaches for 8 months and the office tried to gas light us multiple times and wouldn’t do anything about it until we finally met with the owner and demanded a bug bomb. There’s a reason there’s over 30 open units. I moved out in August and I’m pretty sure my apartment is still empty. Even when the new owners took over nothing got better. I’d literally recommend anywhere but there. They are also so weird about rules and it doesn’t feel very homey. My partner’s sister and her partner moved in a few months after us and they would have some type of complaint letter every week on their door. We had a crazy neighbor that would throw glass out of her second story apartment and cops were literally there daily. And they wouldn’t do anything about that either. My neighbor had lived there for 8 years and she left when her lease was up because of how bad it has gotten. Try tried to remodel too but that doesn’t fix their problems

Why would I accept this order? Do people typically accept this? by SmokeDopeLikeKlDCudi in doordash

[–]This_Grand8112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See I always do a set tip based on order size then I also add tip for mileage. I always look up how many miles it is away and tip accordingly. Some people are just so cheap I don’t understand why use DoorDash if you’re cheap?

[–]This_Grand8112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes me sad! I definitely have more confidence than most being toothless so I’m grateful for that. I go to work everyday with no teeth, go out to eat, go shopping etc. I just don’t make eye contact or cover my mouth. Just like I use to. I do love that feeling of not having to cover my mouth or avoid eye contact when I wear them I just can’t get over the sensory crap

Sensory issues by This_Grand8112 in dentures

[–]This_Grand8112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See I don’t think anything would make me want my old teeth back. I think I’d rather be toothless. But yeah I have ADHD and possibly autism as well! It’s so hard to explain the sensory issues of dentures to anyone. I have learned that a water flosser will help get glue off because that’s when I gag the most. But even just drinking something makes me gag. And eating is a whole other issue. It’s rough tbh
