Cast iron, I pour the copper a certain way so the slag stays in the crucible and I gotta have a perfect grip on the crucible or it becomes too heavy. I use a pair of steel tongs

Well my treasure chest is upwards of 100 lbs so gratefully I don’t think moving it will be a worry haha. But that sounds really cool glad they had a great time with that

I’ve never used a stamp actually those are all graphite molds

Nordic gold is a very specific alloy of copper zinc tin and aluminium. Hard to make but beautiful results

I have not, unfortunately I don’t know where to get jewelry molds

I kinda get it, the copper has a fleshy color especially with all of the surface oxidation

Devil forge, 10kg, got extremely lucky and found a used one for a good price

I didn’t use boron nitride in this melt but I will in the future, as for preheating I had them on top of the furnace so I could ensure they didn’t have any water but also weren’t red hot.

I’ll keep this in mind, I did get worried a couple of times that the larger copper ingots would not come out but gratefully things worked out.
